Wilson did very well, especially since this was his 13th pro fight, what's more impressive to me is the lack of quality opposition he's had in his prior fights and be able to mix it with a now 3 weight world champion,

For Navarrete this was his first fight EVER at 130lb. He was fighting at 122lb only a couple of years ago. And Navarrete just stood up from his first knock down ever, against a bigger, taller, younger, undefeated opponent. That's impressive.

That was a beautiful war. Navarette’s style is relentless, unorthodox, and off tempo. He kept applying pressure in his own weird off-rhythm type of way, even after a rough start. Respectable.

Liam Wilson was a true warrior, he gave a lot of troubles to Navarrete, but El Vaquero had trained for 3 months on the "centro ceremonial otomi" with a very high altitude that gave him a lot of oxygen to endure hard punches and little by little break his opponent's resistance. In 50+ years of following boxing I've NEVER seen a count go beyond the ten count. It is NOT arbitary, it is a rule.

Navarrete always seems to fly under the radar when we're looking at the best talent in boxing. That man's style is so unique and even awkward at times given his reach but there is absolutely no denying the results. He. Just. Makes. It. Work. Mad props to the underdog Liam Wilson as well. Taking a long-time world champ like El Vaquero to the canvas is no easy task.

I knew this fight would be tough. Tall, bigger, dinamite in both hands. I didn’t sleep on Wilson at all. So surprised Navarrete stepping up was able to knock him out. Especially after being knocked down and hurt himself. True champion right there.

This was the kind of fight where both guys won long-term even though one of them lost on the night. Navarrete showed that kliler pedigree and he's now a 3 weight world champion while Liam Wilson, still very young in his career, is only gonna get more fans and more confidence going forward. Navarrete has been one of the best punchers this sport has ever seen. Not sure how much power he has in it, but he can hit his target consistently from unbelievable distances and angles.

Going up in weight eventually gets difficult your punches don't move your opponent the way they use to. You can tell Navarette was really struggling with that but props to him for never giving up on his power and kept swinging for the fences. I almost thought his punching power was not going to carry over but eventually I think more due to a accumulation of punches he got the stoppage. He can't be swinging like that against a real puncher he would get stopped.
Yea Navarrete looks undersized for the division, I really wish he would persue undisputed at 126 but Top Rank rarely likes to unify with champs from other networks smh

Navarrete es un boxeador diferente con un estilo extraño, pero debo reconocer que me gusta su coraje dentro del ring. Hoy día no se ven muchos boxeadores que emocionen a la multitud. Ya quiero ver su próxima pelea. ✌️
Creo que sí. El proyecta mucha tranquilidad bajo presión y a la misma vez agresividad en su ataque. Eso le hace ver el momento adecuado para golpear.

Navarrete in all his previous fights has fought relaxed and full of confidence this one after the knockdown he had that, “Hold my Beer” moment 😂.
It was really the first time I had seen Navarette. I watched his last fights. Conclusion: He is impressive and won't be easy to defeat. We must hope to bring him a one shot K.O., otherwise, you will lose, either by cards or by KO.
Both are explosive boxers. This is REAL boxing! Kudos to both boxers!

Yo estuve ahi y la verdad, no se como Navarette tiene record de 37-1. Yo les dije a mis compas, el huero lo va tumbar por que tiene mejor technica. Lo que no tubo el huero era condicion..

I knew Liam was going to present Vaquero a great fight, he almost did the job with his hard punches. I think he has what it takes to be a World Champion if not against Vaquero, with somebody else or a different weight. He should not be ashamed, he did his best against not an easy to beat one. My very vest for his future. Vaquero also needs to improve . when hurt, he needs to clinch a bit. I know he is not used to it but he needs to.

A tricky situation.
When the glove touched the canvas,
the opponent had already been charging his punch.
It would have been extremely difficult, maybe impossible,
especially when rushing to knock somebody out,
to pull that punch back.
If you look closely, (no need to slow down the speed)
the most part during that odd position Navarrete has,
his head/upper body blocks Wilson's view,
he can't see the glove touching the canvas.
Navarrete did the right thing,
touching the canvas to not get hit falling/laying on the ground,
in a defenseless position (it's not MMA).
Wilson also did the right thing, to go for the kill.
It was just half a second too late,
which happens all the time in boxing fights since fighters
neither have shot clocks installed in their heads nor
robotic abilities to stop immediately within 0.000001 seconds.
A disqualification would be really unfair
(just for that action, I did not watch the fight to see several cheap shots...).
On the other hand,
the ref giving extra seconds because of "delayed punch" was 100% the right decision.
If it was the other way around,
there would be complaining, too.
Just stick to the rules applied by now,
not the rules from yesterday, not the rules from next week
and not the rules one prefers in a certain situation.
Ah Stuttgart Wilson should of been disqualified for hitting Navarrete when his glove was touching the canvas what actually led to the 27 sec count not to mention the other cheap shots Wilson gave Navarrete.

Very creative puncher. I havent seen an uppercut cross 4 punch combo since young bud crawford or early Inouye. He fights like a 70's fighter, just needs more headmovement and to tighten up the elbows. Hes gonna be a monster if he stays hungry and humble.
