    @8:25 THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!! I'm glad you said that out loud. I cannot stand it when i see a cook waste effort by bashing a knife through fine herbs and essentially crush them. I've seen cooks use two knives, a cleaver and (shudder) a mezza luna to cut parsley etc...

    I have been really excited to make this recipe since I saw it. I made it for a dinner party for the first time and everyone loved it! When I added everything together in the last step of cream and adding the sauteed corn, I had a little try and I was like "wow tastes amazing!". My girlfriend had the same reaction. And our guests loved it! I added coriander as a garnish and it worked like a charm... Thanks for the recipe! Sharing the love!! ❤️

    following the video and omitting what I don't have... 10 minutes on my corn broth and my veggies are ready for the broth... also I have table cream 18% and half and half 10%... will comment on how it turns out.

      I had to add more flour to thicken it, before the potatoes were too cooked, and I added more bacon and omitted the chillies, and the parm rinds. I added 2 tbsp soya sauce for umommi and a bit of maggies sauce for a bit more ummomi..

    New vegetarion here. So why are the parm rinds not ok for it to be able to be called a vegetarian dish?

      Hi! It's because you'll only get parm rinds from traditionally made parmesan cheese, and they will always have the ingredient rennet, which is made from a calves stomach lining (veal). All old style, classic hard cheeses have rennet- if you see the label and it doesn't specify vegetarian rennet, it's not vegetarian. Soft cheeses are usually made with acids though, so they're often still vegetarian. Make sure you check your labels carefully when choosing your cheeses if you don't want to eat meat by-products. I'm not sure, but pre-grated parm in the can is usually not real parm, so you may be able to continue eating it.
      If you want a similar flavour to the parm rinds (naturally occuring MSG) you can sub in more mushrooms, miso or even msg powder.

    Majoram and oregano are in the same genus of the mint family. I love marjoram because it is so fragrant. It's just like perfume, but not in a bad way in food. ^_^

    To make this vegan remove the bacon (add a lil liquid smoke, and more salt and fat), also remove the heavy whipping creme and replace it with homemade vegan heavy whipping creme (1 cup soy milk no additives at room temp, stick that in a blender or mixer put it on high and add in 1 cup refined coconut oil (unrefined if you like coconut flavor) but add it slowly or it won't come together as a creme) Just made it and it's great! Thanks!

    but can’t afford to create subtitles?

      @david david they're automatic subtitles, which are usually super low quality and don't pick up on a lot of words (especially when someone else is talking- like if Gabby was talking to Claire in a video there would be no subtitles).
