toothpaste is inexpensive and easy, but it doesn't last very long. how long does fog x last?
On windows that move (like side windows), it will last a few months, and on something like your windshield, it will last up to 6 months!
Regular toothpaste or gel?
Toothpaste works great on my car, but now I have rotten teeth dentist bill £235 !!
I think the rainx de fog was worth every penny !!

The toothpaste may work wonder as antifog on windows but man it requires a lot of labor grease. It sticks to the glass really well and leaves a coat of film which requires a lot of labor to remove especially on hard to reach places like the windshield. Save the trouble and use Rain-X antifog!

The store bought defogger works well to keep the window from fogging...but...when the temperature gets below freezing, the window will freeze over. So, you end up scraping ice off of the inside of the window. Not fun!

The cars interior is usually warmer then the outside, so that will cause condensation on the outside windows!

Run ac and heat at the same time. AC dehumidifies the air. Fogging problem solved. This was thought of decades ago. Don't go wiping food, toothpaste, soap, etc on your windows like a fool who doesn't know how their vehicle's HVAC system works.

Toothpastes have abrasive in them (usually baking soda, or something simmilar...it WILL xcratche you windows over time. Try shaving foam rubbed off with dry newspaper instead :)
Where does the moisture go if it doesn't stick to the windows. I'm trying tights full of kitty litter tonight. With that you know where the moisture is going

Ever tried the wax you always use for the outside of the windshield? You'd think the mechanics should be more or less the same for adding a hydrophobic layer between the water and the surface.
But the real question remains, for how long does it last?
