Wow.... Robonic looks like Hitler...

New design sure looks lot better. And they sure gave him a cute smile. I just wonder why movies like this are so often taken from the fantasy world they are originally set and either put in the real world like this and the Dolph Lundgren He-Man movie or in a fictional world that is nothing like it suppose to be, like the old Super Mario movie. Sure it probably is lot cheaper to set in real world. But I bet this is going to be better than that later example at least.

I'm calling it right now. Robotnic follows sonic back to his world and he stays there to hunt sonic. That's why at the end of the 1st trailer he looks more like the traditional robotnic.

So much potential.... All squandered away with casting.... Why why why why must Jim Carrey and his ONE typecast character be thrown in here? Movies today don't really require a marquee actor to headline the cast so people will go see it. This movie definitely doesn't need Jim Carrey, the one trick pony who has a history of getting bitter when not taken seriously and a habit of sabotaging his movies mere days before they are released. You can throw a ton of make up and prosthetics on him, or animate/dress him up however you want..... (Grinch, Riddler, Mask, Ace Ventura, Dumb & Dumber, Horton, etc..)...The result is always the exact same schtick but from a different looking character. And when he TRIES to do drama, he fails miserably and gets bitter at everyone (news flash to Jim- you made your career yelling and literally talking out of your ass, so don't be surprised when people aren't all that quick to accept your very average level acting and when they don't throw awards at you just because you chose a movie that DIDNT have you bending over and talking with your ass cheeks).
I was pretty hyped to see this movie. And I still will see it. But now it will probably be after it's released on home video. Funny thing is, if Jim Carrey were worth two cents as an actor, he could be the character in the movie and I wouldn't be constantly rolling my eyes watching him over act and do a little prancing dance while thrusting his hips and making nonsensical noises (you can see it in your head, can't you? lol). If he were any good, I wouldn't see him. But he's not. So I will have to watch Sonic interact with Riddler and the Grinch and all the other characters that Jim Carrey has completely turned into one dimensional jokes.
And why ANYONE would hire him after he sabotaged his own movie less than two weeks before it was released is beyond me. Kick Ass 2 wasn't a cinematic masterpiece. But when arguably the biggest star of the movie decides he shouldn't have said a few of the wordy durds that he said while making the movie, he doesn't just jump ship. He takes a bomb and goes to the very bottom of the ship and BOOM!...... He's taking everyone else down with him. Thats about as low as you can get. Mr. Popper over there is worth around 150 million dollars. Him tanking that movie isn't putting him in the poor house. But his sudden change of heart on that movie ended with him trashing it all over the place, and a movie like that involves millions of dollars and thousands of jobs. So good job on that one, Hank.

Lifelong Sonic fan here, went from not caring at all about seeing the movie to OMG I cant wait to see this!!! Brother your reaction was gold, my face lit up after seeing the newest trailer!
