You can tell he didn't want to depart with his art. The struggle of a true artist. Yeah he has it displayed to be sold but selling one by one is intimate and you can let one go one at a time. But letting them all go at once you can tell he was kinda sad he won't see them again. But he needs the money and he was like "why not" meaning he was willing to sacrifice his attachment to each one at once to get what they were made for in the first place. Great man
