Hello James, get an electrician to check if the door has any voltage, there might be an expose wire somewhere, that is dangerous. It’s common on new houses to have that problem it’s better to get it taken care of early
For the door that is holding electrical shocks to you could have a loose fuse or flex leaning against the door so I’d make sure to check it out Incase any problems happen aka water spill against the door and causes a possible electrical issue, I hope this helps James ❤❤
For the static issue, humidifiers throughout the house will help eliminate static, like a ton. I also use static spray on my furniture, carpets and in my car to prevent it. It may also be a wire touching the metal somewhere
Long-term investment with Expert Phlip is the best, i invested $5,700 in April 2022, toping up my trades every week with $700. Rn i have over $88,200 on my dashboard. Long term investment is really the best..

The house looks amazing. You should build a hanging walkway from the mezzanine up to the roof in the garage so you can look down on your cars from above.
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance- wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..
Those shocks you experienced from the door all seemed pretty equal, giving me the idea that there is an exposed wire near the doors inside the wall. You don’t have carpet so for you to build up that much friction, especially with shoes on, is virtually impossible. Get your subcontractor out there on those doors.
man this is truly envious , I saw the video of you n that Graham stephan guy n decided I look into you and who would’ve guess your already establishing your dream home 🥹 inspirational man , I’m right behind ya🧗🏻
Not sure if you'll see this but I have an idea for the giant side wall in your garage. You should find a really good spray paint artist and have them study your youtube channel, then make a giant mural for that wall. I think it would turn out amazing and add some color to the room to complement your crazy-colored cars!
Your house project is coming along nicely, and it has been a pleasure to watch its progress. We designed and built a house in NY in 1991. We still have that place but also have a place in TX. The work and research involved in designing and building a home is immense. A few quick recommendations... 1. Yes, put in a larger range hood. Cooking vaporizes oil (aerosols) and it will get everywhere. You want a good rangehood to take out as much of that as possible. 2. I don't recommend going with red brick on the backsplash. It will be a nightmare to clean. Typical red brick is just too coarse and oil and other dirt will get stuck in the small crevices...and the mortar gaps in between...ugh! This is not a problem for exterior brick where a good rain or a hose down with a pressure washer is enough to clean it...not an option for interior. 3. If you REALLY want to go with brick, consider dense oven baked or fire brick (used to line interiors of furnaces). These are dense bricks and have a fine/smooth appearance. At least the front surface area will be much easier to clean and maintain. You still have to worry about the mortar...so consider flush mortar lines (though that takes away from the typical brick appearance). 4. Think about a larger (professional) range or rangetop...Viking or Wolf. I recommend, if you can still find them, (commercial) open burner style instead of sealed burners. I think BlueStar still makes them, but you might be able to find them in the Viking Professional range. I'm not sure if you have a 30-inch or a 36-inch, but I recommend a minimum 36 and you might even be able to fit in a 48-inch cooktop. 5. Consider a built-in fridge...SubZero. You really need a SubZero. They come with dual compressors (one for the fridge and one for the freezer) and are extremely reliable and long lasting...and they look really good! 6. Consider a Miele dishwasher (if you don't already have one). 7. Consider a double oven and a separate built-in microwave. Wolf is a good brand. Yes, my recommendations will likely mean a total redesign of the kitchen, but you have a spectacular house. You really should also have top of the line appliances and convenience in the kitchen to match it.
Strad You should get some sort of car mural painted on the blank wall in the main Garage. You have the natural mountains picture framed by the windows on the one side. Now Red brick on back wall so for last wall go all out with a painted mural
James, just a friendly caution, I cook on a stove often and whenever I cook something that has grease or fat that splatters at high heat, it hits the tile which in my house is glossed over but it might get absorbed by the brick and stain if you aren’t careful. Just a thought.
In theory a powerful enough range hood would solve most of that problem but it's just a bad idea in general. My neighbor is a serious cook with a 60 inch Viking range with matching hood, probably the most powerful hood you can buy and she has a stainless steel backsplash. It looks good and it works and cleans up super easy. I can think of few things worse than a brick backsplash.
Id say do Polished WHITE concrete in the Batcave and all the walls white as well. As for the garage id say just plain polished concrete would look amazing. Also call an electrician about the door to check for voltage. Congrats on the girl, house, and all of your success over the last couple years!
God!! It's been forever since I watched one of your videos man! I'm glad to see you're still doing good and still uploading. It's definitely good to be back.
For the light switch problem, if you get Lutron smart switches, you can have all them turn on at once with a remote and install the remote into the wall and you can install the remotes wherever you want
Those doors giving you chocks could be really dangerous, for some reason mains voltage may be getting into them. You should get an electrician to check the grounding and wiring around the doors.
@Midwest Motor The first shock could be caused by that, but how do you explain the subsequent shocks? He is standing still, not creating any static electricity, but still getting shocked.
@ST H Well it doesn't have to be carpet - we have wood and tile floors in my house and still get shocked all the time touching metal. It's dry air. There's no electrical anywhere near or into these doors. If there was it would be a hell of a LOT more ZAP than what he's receiving.
Holy heck people it's called DRY AIR!!!!! This happens to me all the time at my house - I live in the Midwest also. In winter time as temps fall and it's cold, when you walk across the floor, especially carpet it creates positive ions and when you touch something metal, ZAPP!!!!! You need an automatic central humidifier hooked up to the furnace. I have one and the shocks have been greatly reduced!
I totally enjoy the idea 💡 of the red brick wall floor to celling. I would love to see that! Also I don’t think you put enough of a second/connection spot in the front of your driveway. The corner is tight for a RV/Boat without messing up landscaping
I totally the idea of the red brick wall floor to ceiling I would love to see that also I don’t think you put enough of a second conection sport in the front of your driveway the corner is for a RV/Boat without messing up landscaping
9:45 in fact we can ear it when you have the static shock lol polished concrete is more durable and less probleme in the future and dark wall means less light on the cars so maybe left the white wall with the nice contrast with red brick can be nice
For those awesome shocks ⚡⚡ you're getting when touching metal doors - you need an automatic central humidifier hooked up to the furnace. I have one and the shocks have been greatly reduced!
The shock from the metal window/door frame is because your carpets (which are likely a plastic-based material like polyester) build up static really easily, and if you're wearing things like socks it'll only build up more/faster, so just the act of walking up to the window/door is going to build up charge that discharges when you touch the metal, hence the shock. You could maybe look into some sort of non-conductive coating like a clear plastic film (imagine PPF but much thinner) or clear varnish. Metal fabricators may have some better solutions.
@ST H you can also have the same effect with vinyl on the floor. And it doesn't has to be in the room itself. Walking on such a floor (plastic carpet, vynil) makes yourself electrically charged. You have to touch something big enough to be a ground (big metal) to discharge (window).
It also could be a lack of humidity in the house, it's very cold and the heat takes the humidity of the house. A humidifier adds moisture eliminating the shock. My house did the same thing before I added one. He's not standing on carpet.
He could also change the carpets… Also the electric shocks are bigger when the air is dry. Now that room isn’t closed from the garage (big opening at the stairs). I assume the air in the garage is much colder, and when heated up in the room next to it, the heated air would get dryer (basic physics). So putting a door between the upstairs room and the garage, would make the air less dry and thus he would get less shocked. Still shocked, but less. He could also wait till summer to check that theory…
Just throwing it out there...perhaps replace the metal handles with some nice wooden handles (maybe mahogany or other wood) so it will eliminate the electric discharge Strad is creating from walking on his carpets and then touching the metal doors.
Stradman if you want to control the sparks you need to add some humidity to your house. Do you have one of those humidity units tied to your HVAC - Mine is called AprilAir - and I have the humidity set between 40 and 50% That should help with the sparks. Love watching you.

Since your getting a new hood, return that small cooktop and get a 48” or 60” wolf or Viking. You can get a grill and griddle inserts. You won’t regret it and they will “scale” with the house better. You also might want to go for a SubZero fridge. Food will keep better and your house deserves it
@Krool Vlogs LMAO STFU, dude has a multi-million dollar house and a Bugatti alone that cost a million dollars. He got paid 6 figures alone for the sponsorship for the video. He's literally made of money.
yeah but this man isn't made of money, so for right now it will do. i understand that he has a lot of money and cars and a nice custom dream built house, but you know. I'm just saying for right now his current fridge will do even tho that fridge your talking about will fit really nicely. also most people won't go with stufc like that because it can help save money that probably could be saved up later to buy another car but don't judge me. i 100% agree with you but I'm just saying
Its natural to see so many investors panic amid a worsening bearish market but it is also important to note that the market situation is nothing new in the crypto world.Several factors are driving negative sentiment in the stock and crypto markets right now including inflation, a shaky stock market, rising interest rates, and recession fears. As a result, bitcoin has dropped significantly from its all-time high, breaking below several key technical levels. As a crypto investor, the current situation might seem bleak. However, there are several tried and tested, expert-suggested investment strategies that can help you weather the current crypto storm. In 2 weeks of shorting and trading with signals directly from Harvey Creswell, I have been able to accumulate 11 btc despite the state of the market.
For a start you need a good and experienced hand to guide you. Trust me, trading isn't difficult as we see it. With the right information and guide, you can earn hugely weekly.
I will always be grateful to Harvey, I was only a newbie trader when I met him last year October. Now I'm more informed and experienced in the trading aspect of bitcoin, earning more than 1.9 BTC every 2 weeks.
Build a second car elevator outdoor on the side of the garage with a car port add more space underground also if one car elevator stops working you can have the second one for backup and so you don’t have to keep moving cars one by one to get a car out
Hopefully with a house like this, you're using a decorator, a good decorator will take your (taste/ideas) and use their trained skills to really make you happy. I used a decorator in my last home and 2yrs later I'm still amazed at how great my house looks and not just it's sheer size.
@Sedanzzz_guy, you probably live in your parents house, what you know about living in million dollar home. You're worrying about how much stuff cost because you're broke, that's what broke people do. My house actually cost more than his so paying someone 30K to make my mansion look amazing is nothing. Something else you're broke ass don't know about, decorators get discounts on stuff they buy because they buy so much so in the end I probably saved money using one. Stay in your lane.
To fix the doors over looking the garage, you can run a small cooper wire from the frame of the door to the floor, this will stop it from shocking you.
the doors are conducting electricity, meaning it could be exposed to a wire in the house. try testing it with a volt or electric tester and if it lights up green and makes a sound its conducting electricity. i suggest calling an electrician
Your ideas for the house isn't something that I would do and that's exactly why I like it. Everyone does the exact same style of everything these days and no one actually expresses themselves.
Exactly - I was thinking 'red brick with that blue behind the breakfast bar?!' - but then Stradman qualified it with his out there taste in cars. So makes perfect sense. :)
use dryer sheets when you dry your clothes to remove static from your clothes. that should fix the shock issue unless there are electrical wires in the wall near the door and you are getting stray voltage.
The humidity level is probably low by those doors in that part of your house. I don't know how big of an area that is, but since you're building your office below that area you might be able to get an HVAC guy to see about pumping some humidity through the system in that area. This becomes worse in the winter as the heat is run more and dries out the air, creating more static electricity.
Building a house when the covid started, all the contructions materials doubled the price. I can say that the contractor must be lucky to work with your house.😂 piece of advice u need to consult a real financial advisor james, cause the people that you work it would easily exploit you!!
Hey Strad - been watching you for a long time. I love your content. I'm very happy for you doing what makes you happy. Two tips based off this video. 1. Static Electricity - put a cupful of liquid fabric softener in a spray bottle full of water. Shake thoroughly and spray the carpet. FYi - The carpet doesn't need to be soaking wet. When you start getting shocked again, spray some more. Should last around 1-2 months (depending on humidity levels). 2. To many light switches - change them out to WiFi switches. You can then create groups to control multiple switches through Alexa ("Alexa - turn on main garage"). Bada bing bada boom! I would love to swing by and meet you sometime. My ride is a Ducati 1199 Panigale S (Black with carbon fiber and blue chrome accents). I would love to race it against any car of your choice - just for fun if course! Keep up the great work!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 MAN, IT'S LIKE WATCHING A FRIEND FINALLY MAKING IT BIG. Watch him move into his car, to the apartment, then with Burlacker*, to the temp house, then to the garage for a few and now this custom amazing mansion (at this point, soon to be a compound).
Hello James, get an electrician to check if the door has any voltage, there might be an expose wire somewhere, that is dangerous. It’s common on new houses to have that problem it’s better to get it taken care of early
Thank you i came to say this too 🤣
Anyone think it could be due to a lack of humidity?
@Garten Teich rewatch, no carpet floors in that room
@cameron kirkland it’s not a carpeted room?
Honestly it’s probably from walking on the carpet no?
For the door that is holding electrical shocks to you could have a loose fuse or flex leaning against the door so I’d make sure to check it out Incase any problems happen aka water spill against the door and causes a possible electrical issue, I hope this helps James ❤❤
Definitely a fuse

In theory a powerful enough range hood would solve most of that problem but it's just a bad idea in general. FYI ~ All that red brick may absorb a lot of light and cause it to be a bit darker in that area.

Hey TheStradman, you actually read your comments? You need to ground the metal for the doors to avoid electrical potential buildup.

Food in his fridge lmao, we know it’s always been only drinks
yeah but this man isn't made of money, so for right now it will do. i understand that he has a lot of money and cars and a nice custom dream built house, but you know. I'm just saying for right now his current fridge will do even tho that fridge your talking about will fit really nicely. also most people won't go with stufc like that because it can help save money that probably could be saved up later to buy another car but don't judge me. i 100% agree with you but I'm just saying
Bluestar range is hands down better than any gas range on the market for performance and price.
@bflo716 he’s watching his pennies.
@Robert Sartin Absolute bot-shit
For a start you need a good and experienced hand to guide you. Trust me, trading isn't difficult as we see it. With the right information and guide, you can earn hugely weekly.
I appreciate every single second of the six months I worked with him. He is such an amazing, patient, and down-to-earth teacher.
I will always be grateful to Harvey, I was only a newbie trader when I met him last year October. Now I'm more informed and experienced in the trading aspect of bitcoin, earning more than 1.9 BTC every 2 weeks.
Build a second car elevator outdoor on the side of the garage with a car port add more space underground also if one car elevator stops working you can have the second one for backup and so you don’t have to keep moving cars one by one to get a car out
dude I remember when you only had four or five cars and I've loved watching grow your car collection

Hopefully with a house like this, you're using a decorator, a good decorator will take your (taste/ideas) and use their trained skills to really make you happy. I used a decorator in my last home and 2yrs later I'm still amazed at how great my house looks and not just it's sheer size.
@Manibusan Rambo, that's why I wrote this comment after seeing that brick.
Im gonna get one when I build my dream home!
Stay in your lane.

i doubt it. cause it doesnt seem like he is using an interior decorator for the installs. that ted brick is terrible

if you are putting sod down in the yard winter is an amazing time to do so!
To fix the doors over looking the garage, you can run a small cooper wire from the frame of the door to the floor, this will stop it from shocking you.
I thought the windows in the garage was greenscreen from the inside💀

For the garage lights, since you're going with an industrial look, get a big red on-off toggle switch or breaker for the fun of it.
So strad gets to see it

Especially the sequencer 👍💪💪
@Bob Moore yeaaah lets add These ideas
Cool idea. Probably would be best to have it on a sequencer so all the lights don't turn at the same time.
That mountain view out the garage windows is EPIC! Views on Views!!!!
Great job!! I enjoy watching your videos. Also this video is #22 on trending

the doors are conducting electricity, meaning it could be exposed to a wire in the house. try testing it with a volt or electric tester and if it lights up green and makes a sound its conducting electricity. i suggest calling an electrician
Congratulations 💥🎁

Strad I completely agree with your taste and your living my dream ❤

Your ideas for the house isn't something that I would do and that's exactly why I like it. Everyone does the exact same style of everything these days and no one actually expresses themselves.
@Richard Martin it is kinda funny how he designed the house down to a T exactly how he wanted it and then a month later he’s doing renovations 🤣
A normal single guy would have been happy with what he had..
Amazing the things guys do when there is a woman around - just saying.
Yeah and didn’t see it in the garage
I agree. A Ferrari on your wall? But no one deserves this more than him.
Exactly - I was thinking 'red brick with that blue behind the breakfast bar?!' - but then Stradman qualified it with his out there taste in cars. So makes perfect sense. :)
9:27 make an Arcade in this room
You can attach a ground wire to the door.
Something like a nearby electrical socket. But consult your electrical engineer

I can't wait to see the finished result. The suspense is killing me.
use dryer sheets when you dry your clothes to remove static from your clothes. that should fix the shock issue unless there are electrical wires in the wall near the door and you are getting stray voltage.
Strad logo on the garage wall 👍🏻

I need to find someone who loves me as much as James loves red brick

Building a house when the covid started, all the contructions materials doubled the price. I can say that the contractor must be lucky to work with your house.😂 piece of advice u need to consult a real financial advisor james, cause the people that you work it would easily exploit you!!
That’s crazy that it’s already been a month and a half. So happy for you stradman.
House is so beautiful.
Congratulations 🎉

Chicago has a ton of red brick. You may want to check it out 😁
You should install some acoustic panels in the garage. They make some cool designs and would add a lot of color.
@John Oporto Nope, I sure don't.
