Honestly, out of all the live action adaptations of any franchise, book, etc., Scooby Doo (well at least the first two movies, not the ones with Hayley Kiyoko in them, although her being queer and then Velma being queer later on is the fruitiest foreshadowing I have ever seen and we love to see it,) is the one of the very few, if any, that DID NOT age poorly. I grew up watching these two movies on VHS when I was a toddler and I loved them!
P.S. Le Sserafim's Antifragile instrumental intro is iconic.

Also I always found it cute how Daphne goes to scooby and shaggy when going to the castle. Like she could have gone alone but None of them have any hard feelings towards the two of them.

I watched this movie every single day when I was 6. I knew all the dialogues and I still remember some of them. I always felt a little bit ashamed when I told people this is one of my favorite movies ever, but I'm glad this iconic piece of cinema is getting the recognition it truly deserves.

This movie literally came out on my 9th birthday and I went to see it for said birthday. I ended up being mildly traumatized by the monsters. Now they make me laugh but man that was an experience. I can only imagine how much scarier they could have been (i’ve seen the concept designs and yeah that was a waste).

This movie is SO iconic one wouldn't be able to begin explaining why. This was the blueprint for daphne's character for the next years. About the "plotholes": I'm guessing the ones who left where saved when the soup got knocked out. About the evil coast guards I never understood them lmao, I think they were just joking and they actually sent help and thats why the police is there at the end.

Actually scooby doo has had canonically supernatural elements a few times before this. Most notably with the first 4 direct to video films where the big gimmick was that the monsters were real.
And also notably in the 13 ghosts of scooby doo where scooby, shaggy, Daphne, scrappy and flim flam (RIP) had to capture 13 real ghosts and seal them in a box. Which was cancelled before the last episode and finished in a film a few years ago.

This film is legit one of my FAVOURITES of all time and I swear we needed an actual moment of silence for the slayage that is Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne… gay icon.
