At 5:21 LeBron goes between the double team, and not only puts the ball behind his back, but sends it through his teammate's legs in the process. Super slick.
Look up the professor. He has a move called the teleport where he puts the ball behind his back and through the defenders legs. He's showed a few NBA players that move so it's possible that lebron actually meant to do that
The way to win the bet is to find a player that's known for being really kind and sympathetic, explain the situation, and hope they're nice enough to let you win.
The good answer to the 1v1 question is "whichever NBA player would be nice enough to drop the game in order to save your family". So I would probably go with Giannis, he looks like a good egg. Jordan on the other hand would probably taunt people about the fact that they're going to lose their loved ones.
@Gray I’m the same, brother. I’m not trying to put him down. By far he is the second greatest player of all time pretty undisputedly and still has time to become #1.
@Kamay that is true. he has the weirdest shooting form with elbow flare that is just weird and his imitation of dirk's one legged fadeaway isn't the best either. but I still gotta respect him as a top 2 player of all time
My friend in college was always talking shit about pro and college players and how good he is but he didn't get the chance, blah blah blah. Then we scrimmaged against the women's team (D1 top 25) That shut him up for a while.
The second take is hoy, but you have crushed it, Jxmmy presenting us with the Brian Scalabrine challenge. Where Brian, the White Mamba, owned all challengers, even at a D1 level. That's all she wrote.
Having a variety of moves, elite footwork, ability to score from all over the floor, hes a ball handler you showing him do crosservers isn’t showing anything, hes bigger stronger and more athletic then pretty much everyone in his prime, so he didn’t need a deep bag
Jimmy is easily one of the best creators of the last few years. the detail and insight he brings is unrivaled and I always find myself watching every second of his videos
@PatriotsFan12 you need to provide more than one example to back up such a claim. Unless that’s your only reason for disliking him, in which case imma disregard this. Even with his flaws, he’s waaaay more knowledgeable than you and me.
My take on the whole “bag” thing is simply how “many” moves or combos u have in pocket. Lebron can get to spots and make more things happen with less dribbles in moves. Which makes you more talented anyway imo. His bag is lacking but his skills aren’t.
Hot Take: After James Harden retires and we look back at his career We will see that Harden had a legacy that is one of the most underrated ever We talk about his play style not contributing to wins but we forget that He was ONE GAME away from beating A HEALTHY WARRIORS SQUAD Consisting of 5 HOF players (IGGY,CURRY,KLAY,KD,and GREEN) with 4 of them in their Prime If it wasn't for CP3's injury then we might have seen Harden win a championship and probably bring home the FMVP in 2018
If I had to go 1v1 against any nba player. To save my family. It would’ve had to have been 2nd game of the 2022-23 season Russell Westbrook. Yes. That specific game’s Russ. I would cook that man
I think Luka still has some crucial differences to harden, I mean Harden never went into the post and Luka’s most efficient offence by far is in the post. I feel that the systems that these Mavericks and those rockets run are actually incredibly similar but I think Luka and Harden used it in often times fundamentally different ways
@Blain Masterson lol Luka won against the number 1 seed at 22yo and held his own against the eventual champion, Warriors. He'll be a one-man wrecking crew when reached his peak years and gained veteran exp. He just needs great supporters who understand their role like Mike had with Pippen. Knowing Cuban, he'll not waste Luka's talent.
Not a Harden fan by any means, but the main difference is that Harden is okay with, and great at, facilitating and spreading the ball when it matter (even in the playoffs). Luka couldn't handle sharing the ball with Jalen Brunson. They are fundamentally not the same player. Luka is good because his astronomical usage rate doesn't have to be shared with anyone meaningful. Entirely the reason the Mavs will never succeed with a Luka-centric team
I once had a friend who hated Lebron bc he quote “ always takes it to the rim and isn’t talented “ but his favorite player was Dwight Howard. I started to get brain cancer trying to explain to him how dumb that is.
Boban Marjanović is one of the nicest, most wholesome people on Earth. He'll lose on purpose to let my family live. He'll probably score in his own basket to help me.
@Briaaan izz ded kobe and Jordan are too competitive to lose even if you explained the situation. If MJ had to lose to someone to save his OWN family he'd still want to beat you.
@jxmyhighroller would you do a comparison video on the role that hand checking played in a players defense, There are many players that played on both sides of the hand checking era, pre and post? How much did an individual players defense suffer? How much could we expect a players defense to improve if transported back in time? Could Lebron have won DPOY? Would jordan have been as good of a defender in todays NBA? etc. there are a lot of fascinating questions that could be asked based on those numbers. You’ve got the the best analytics on you tube; Do your thing.
I would play Jordan, because ,I already known I'm gonna lose but it would be less stressful if I know I lost to one of the greatest player to have ever lived.
realistically it will take alot of factors and a lot of thing going our way to even have a shot against an end of the bench guy, probably have a better chance of stopping someone who has bad form and can't shoot lanky so that you can try to push him around but even then dude is probably a lockdown defender with hops to make to the NBA without a shot or strength
@yungdove Yes I'm referring to these specific videos not being as much work as his usual craziness. He's just plucking takes and talking about them. Usually his vids take immense research. I'm a massive fan don't be attacking me before understanding my statement. Lmao
@feelikemorpheus Bahahaha I'm not at all! Saying these takes videos aren't as much work as his usual ones. Why would I discredit him when I watch all his videos and love them. Wow
Duh. The difference from the GOAT to a top 10 player of all time is obviously going to be less than the difference from the GOAT to an average Joe. The GOAT had no need to say this.
Great video but I totally disagree about Steph Curry over any other great guards in the NBA. I believe it is still Kobe Bryant over anyone except his Airness. Steph never experienced the physicality of the 90s and 2000s of the NBA. Back then, it is rough and tough compare to the modern NBA right now. A little push is already a foul and Steph is a HoF player but,I dont think he would survive the decades that Kobe had to conquered. The hand checks, the physical, zone defense that defeated Kobe in 08' Curry wouldn't survive those situations. In my opinion, Curry wouldn't win those championship without Steve Kerr. Kerr, change his way of scoring, he mainly focused in Curry doing off ball instead of him handling the ball. Both him and Klay evolved after Kerr took over the coaching position because he utilized their shooting by adding piston motion. Before 2015, Curry usually had the ball more and more often shoot mid or 3s range through pick and roll or hammer and elevator screens, he never did those high pace off ball movement with staggering screens until Kerr became their coach. So stop the disrespect on Kobe he done it through hard work and determination.
I’m gonna have to go with Gianni’s because I know I’m not beating any nba player but I feel if I told Giannis that my family would die he would let me win
I’d go against Brain Scalabrine or however you spell his last name. Imagine the savagery of losing your family on national television enduring the most tragic Scallenge ever
I don’t get why people feel a need to god defend classifying Steph as the best point guard of all time, he’s proven time and time again that he is it shouldn’t be a controversial matter
My hot take for this episode is Paul George for a certain time had the deepest bag in basketball behind Harden. He was 6’9 pulling off moves that 6’2 guards pull and at the same speed. Easily one of the craziest athletes in the league for a little bit.
i’ve played quite a few nba players in my young life damian lillard, desmond bane, malachi flynn, jt thor, etc. i’m one of the top high schoolers in the country i’ve worked out with some of them i’ve played games with some i’ve came across many different levels of pros i’ve beat a lot of pros but i’ve never in my life seen anyone that hasn’t had nba experience outplay an nba player it jus won’t happen
Jimmy I got 3 new hot takes for you that I found on Instagram after DMitchell defeated the Lakers:: 1. Spida is the new king in Cleveland 2. #1 SG in the NBA and the worst of all them 3. If he continues to play like this and the Cavs win the chip this season, his ring would have more respect that all Lebron's 4🤡
I’m gunna be honest I’m waving my family goodbye either way in a heartbeat because there is not 1 nba player I could beat but if I HAD to choose I’d say… dude idek after seeing that RETIRED Brian scalebrine A MAN WHO AVERAGED 2PPG AND IN NBA TERMS WOULDNT BE LISTED AS “athletic” (even though they’re all amazing athletes) allabsolutely SCHORCH top tier college athletes at however long ago that was (watch all your videos man and they’ve genuinely giving me a lot of insight to the game I love) I can’t pick one cuz if a retired man who averaged 2.4ppg over his career if I’m not mistaken can absolutely destroy those guys I’m probably just saying goodbye 🤣🤣
Unfortunately, I have been served a piece of humble pie on this subject. In high school, I was a solid player. 6-1, 220 Lbs, and I scored 22 ppg for my high school my senior year. Unfortunate circumstances led me down a different path in life and basketball was no longer my future. Now, post high school years, I was able to play against some pros and future pros in 5v5 pick up games. Guys like Michael Frazier, Kevin Martin, and Omri Casspi. One day, I was feeling myself and decided to challenge Omri Casspi 1v1. To those who do not know, Omri Casspi was the first Iran player to be drafted in the first round of the NBA. He got paid millions to play this sport that I don’t get paid at all and decided to challenge him…… he cooked me alive. I could not stop the bomb from raining on my head from 3. It was as if he took my challenge personal and decided to give me the biggest piece of humble pie EVER. That day… Omri Casspi was the Iranian Jordan. And he made me realize that even the player on the end of the bench of ANY NBA or even G-League team, will torch any of us average joes that think we can do better. So for all of us, our families are doomed.
Hot take : minutes restrictions are dumb. You’re telling me that he’s injured. Not injured enough to sit out however too injured to play 31 minutes, 30 is okay tho. I get that extra minute may be grueling bc it’s nba basketball at the end of the day. However he also just played 30 freaking minutes. I hope what I’m saying makes sense
Lebron's bag has been inconsistent. Like yea some years he was a good jump shooter and 3 point shooter, other years he wasn't. Some years his fadeaway was great, other years it wasn't. He doesn't have a lot of footwork and post moves.
1v1? Gimme Kobe. If I’m gonna get 21-0’d at least let me hoop with my fav player of all time and not some end of the bench door dasher. Then I can also say that I held kobe to less points than jalen rose
the people who said they can beat isaiah thomas or muggsy bogues have never felt the absolute terror when a guy of that size destroys your entire team, guy just dribbles past everybody and for some reason cant get blocked once he gets to the bucket. Plot armour irl
@DOOMULUS Wasn't Mugsy Bogues the one where players had a rule that if you could not see Mugsy at any given point on the court, you should pick up your dribble because you were about to get your cookies stolen, lmaooooooooooo
@Josh Wallace led the league in scoring and led the bullets to a finals appearance where it took the mikan/pollard lakers to beat them in 6, one of Red Auerbachs early favorites, I'd say he'd win. That being said, I personally think that mid size guards would be a better match, less skill and usually less athleticism. Of course, any all league players are the toughest ones, which is why sidney is out of regular peoples leagues, no matter what you may think
@This channel does not exist. He played in 1950. I'm 3 inches taller, weigh 30 more pounds, I use my strength to get spacing. I don't think so, but even if he could keep the ball away from me, that doesn't mean I couldn't prevent him from scoring more than me.
Not a hot take at all. I agree with you. Great playmaker, one of the greatest defensive players of all time, especially given his lack of size in the frontcourt compared to all time defenders like Hakeem, Bill Russel, Ben Wallace, etc. His IQ, hustle, heart, quarterbacking, and communication is second to none. He could've won FMVP if 2016 if GS won. That's how important he was.
If I had to 1v1 an NBA Player to keep my family alive I would choose someone kind like I dunno Dame, and then beg them to let me win to save my family. If they say no, time to say goodbye.
Spud Webb, he’s the shortest player I can think of that doesn’t have an NBA level shot from three, I just chuck prayers and he can get 2’s every possession, I’d say I’ve got a solid 1% chance of winning
2:52 Jimmy to defend Lebron did you really have to use a clip of him dribbling between the legs and then hitting the side of the backboard, and play it TWICE 😭
It’s the video of “the take”. Some guy commented about lebron with this video, and while this take was on the screen, this video was on the loop. It’s not something Jimmy chose to defend lebron.
I could beat the worst NBA player in history - Chris Dudley '87-'03. I played the 2 at a bklyn high school in the 70s. I could run all day and shoot. I saw dudley play at the Garden. He was slow north to south and laterally, couldnt jump much, not agile, was a bad shooter. he was tall and physical. it was the era of big centers who backed you down and dudley was a body and almost every team had 1 or 2 bodies at the end of the bench. Think Jason Collins. Tall and Strong. Yes a professional athlete but at the bottom range of basketball skills in the NBA. These guys are beatable if you're a player.
We gonna forget Steph is not Steph in the playoffs? I’m taking magic Johnson over Steph any day magic don’t need to shoot he’s 6’9 as a PG he’s the modern Ben Simmons but better 12:29
@Lynx it'd because he's 6'8" with a high release point, he doesn't need much room to get it off. Plus it's like a dribble cancel animation😂😂, plus if you creep up even at his age, he's blowing by
Its funny how sizing up and taking all the shot clock is a bag nowadays. Bags are supposed to be moves effective enough to get a bucket but now you gotta go between the legs 30 times to have a bag🤣
I had the honor of playing in a 5 v 5 game against Mike James in Jefferson High School back in 2015. This was before he went pro. I got one bucket on him from deep, that was the last bucket I ever saw. And he proceeded to drop 20 on our team
For me, a 5-11 asian, i definitely got Jeremy Lin in my mind, i can also explain my situation in my mother tongue to him, maybe he will simply let me win🤷
Hot take: Jimmy's wife has never had an argument with him, because she is afraid of how many charts he'd present to prove her wrong.
So true😂
That isn’t even a hot take lol he would be the best lawyer lol
You deserve a heart or a pin at least
Yikes
Lol

@ĎáŘķ ŠwÏfŤ but lebron put it through his teammate's legs not his opponent's

@Bart That sure was something else, wasn't it? Even if the ball didn't go through the legs, though, he still made that move look really good.
Crazy highlight, but there is NO way LeBron was trying to do that. Was accidental, but awesome
Honestly I’m picking steph just so I can meet my favorite player before my whole family dies
steph's too nice he would lose on purpose
Same reason to pick Jordan.
on god
that Kobe tweet at the start is criminal.

Kawhi… cause he wouldn’t turn up bc of his load had me dying
“I’m closer to Lebron James than you are to me” - Brian Scalabrine
The white mamba himself
Hot Take: Despite being a crowd favorite, Austin Reaves is an on-ball defensive liability. He regularly gets exposed by opposing teams guards.

Easy Boban. Sure he's a 7 foot tall giant, but he's a super nice guy.
reggie miller, he seems super nice on tv
So kawhi it is
that's exactly what I was thinking

That "you don't stumble onto 37 thousand points" had me spitting my food.. Too accurate. 😂
@Jilvonya Davis yeah you’re still screwed. Dude’s 7 feet tall💀
Karl Malone scored 35k points 😂
I know I will probably die but if anybody I will choose darko
@Adonis Keef 27.1 but ok
But you do coast to them at 25 ppg over 20 years
Bro told us that LeBron has a bag then proceeds to show a clip of Him hitting the back board
@Md S lol, the spurs beat LeBron by forcing him to take jumpshots…
sayin that LBJ DOESN'T HAVE A BAG is INSANE. COME ON
@Kamay so you’re telling me he didn’t have a bag in miami and second stint cavs come off it man
@Gray I’m the same, brother. I’m not trying to put him down. By far he is the second greatest player of all time pretty undisputedly and still has time to become #1.

His contents are amazing and Hilarious aswell...
@KeySzN 🤓
Lol. Compared to Thinking Basketball his content is dogshit.
not only that, he speaks plainly so someone that’s new to analytics can easily keep up. he’s how i got i got into this side of youtube
Shoutout!!! to the guy who picked Kawhi 😂😂😂

my mom's response to the 1v1 question was "it doesn't say the 1v1 is in basketball - I'll challenge lebron to a bake-off" LMAO
@Wyatt Swim that's the only thing that I could whoop lebron in lol fr fr.
@RowdyDiversion that man has a PHD bro. Shaq smart as hell too. Pack your bags lol
shes a genius, and probably a bake off all star
@shh Steph 6'2 and 180lbs if that guy is half decent at wrestling he's folding Steph like a pretzel unless he's like 5'5 130lbz
I'd challenge lebron to a quiz bowl about that Malcolm X book, he been reading that for like 4 years and still on the first page
I'd simply tell Steph my family was on the line and he'd throw the game. Most decent humans would. But I trust Steph to be a decent human.
@Carpet oh really lol does he always perform like crap at them
@Nolan Armstrong It is a running joke that Steph plays bad for events for charity
@Carpet how so
Steph would probably win the game because losing to you would be considered charity and we know Steph hates charity
MJ wouldn’t
If I had to go 1v1 against any nba player. To save my family. It would’ve had to have been 2nd game of the 2022-23 season Russell Westbrook. Yes. That specific game’s Russ. I would cook that man

Giannis. That man is so nice I feel like he’d let me win to save my family.
yeah , im greek like him and he might let me win
You have a point lol
Or Mike Conley
Dont bring a ladder tho...
Same thoughts bruv
Hot Take: Lebron hasn’t been great since the cavs

Jimmy’s posted two bangers in one week. We really need to appreciate how much effort this man puts in his videos.
Great job Jimmy

I think the other part of the challenge is that the NBA players family will perish if they lose too. If that's the case we all getting posterized
You did clyde drexler dirty with that list. He absolutely is up there with the best guards of all time easily.
If I would have to 1v1 an nba player to save my family it would be ben simmons, but we'd be playing in the 76ers training court.

I'd take Steven Adams 1v1 because he'd let me win to save my family
“sometimes i get happy when a player gets injured” is WILD
@Captain Slow That's the example I thought of, too. I watched that game as it happened.
2019 raptors fans
@Dre Locs *cough* 2015 warriors *cough*
Maybe that guy’s a surgeon idk
most demonic thing I've heard all week...
I’d go against Brain Scalabrine or however you spell his last name. Imagine the savagery of losing your family on national television enduring the most tragic Scallenge ever
I’m taking Ahmad Rashad easy (technically he was an nba player….for a day)
I don’t get why people feel a need to god defend classifying Steph as the best point guard of all time, he’s proven time and time again that he is it shouldn’t be a controversial matter
Hot take: I could take on lebron and win because he'd let me win to save my family
My hot take for this episode is Paul George for a certain time had the deepest bag in basketball behind Harden. He was 6’9 pulling off moves that 6’2 guards pull and at the same speed. Easily one of the craziest athletes in the league for a little bit.
Tatum is a beast but a different player to PG, PG bag looks way more smooth than Tatum he’s abit robotic at times but is still unstoppable
@Cabnabss Hshshshs I didn’t but thanks I’m flattered it’s from that Kanye song
@The Onyie Onyeabor Raising Project yeah
@Collect2Disconnectbravo this is amazing
@Caleb Richardson oh ok
“I’m closer to Lebron James than you are to me” - Brian Scalabrine
6:04 .It's actually easy , just pick Ben simmons and tell him three points only .I mean ,I surely can't block him but thats his weak spot (3pt)

Luka could very well become the undisputed best player in the NBA for probably the next 8-12 years
i’ve played quite a few nba players in my young life damian lillard, desmond bane, malachi flynn, jt thor, etc. i’m one of the top high schoolers in the country i’ve worked out with some of them i’ve played games with some i’ve came across many different levels of pros i’ve beat a lot of pros but i’ve never in my life seen anyone that hasn’t had nba experience outplay an nba player it jus won’t happen
Jimmy I got 3 new hot takes for you that I found on Instagram after DMitchell defeated the Lakers::
1. Spida is the new king in Cleveland
2. #1 SG in the NBA
and the worst of all them
3. If he continues to play like this and the Cavs win the chip this season, his ring would have more respect that all Lebron's 4🤡

I’d have to say Ahmad Rashad (he played a game for the 76ers)
I would pick Steph Curry, and would say: hey dude, my family is on the line!
He is such a nice guy, I bet he would let me win back to back.
haha

Hh...an Israeli here.
Was reading and then "Iranian", and I went straight to the comments haha.
Speak for yourself, bro 😎
not me tho i'm him
Sooooooo typical American not to know the differents between countries out side of the US, fool.
Let's not forget Brian Scalabrine was COOKIN coolege students literal years after he retired. There's levels to this shit!
Ahmad Rashad. He played one NBA pre-season game. If that makes him technically an NBA player, I'll choose him.

Shawn Bradley (the Phillie version).#ICanDoItAllDay (and i'm 5'5")😂
Lebron's bag has been inconsistent. Like yea some years he was a good jump shooter and 3 point shooter, other years he wasn't. Some years his fadeaway was great, other years it wasn't. He doesn't have a lot of footwork and post moves.
1v1? Gimme Kobe. If I’m gonna get 21-0’d at least let me hoop with my fav player of all time and not some end of the bench door dasher. Then I can also say that I held kobe to less points than jalen rose
hot take: if i got to choose between prime Giannis and prime Shaq, im picking Giannis
Lebron is wayyy too stiff to have a bag 😂😂😂

The one that I would face to save my family, would be Brian Scalabrine just because I'd get payed compensation from his show when I lose.
the people who said they can beat isaiah thomas or muggsy bogues have never felt the absolute terror when a guy of that size destroys your entire team, guy just dribbles past everybody and for some reason cant get blocked once he gets to the bucket. Plot armour irl
@DOOMULUS Wasn't Mugsy Bogues the one where players had a rule that if you could not see Mugsy at any given point on the court, you should pick up your dribble because you were about to get your cookies stolen, lmaooooooooooo
@Josh Wallace yeah maybe if your a college level athlete since the NBA has just been formed when that man played
@Josh Wallace sidney hertzberg would keep the ball away from you with ease
Hot take: without Draymond the warriors would not have one a single championship
I would try to get one of the really old guys like from 50s-60s who worked two jobs if I needed to save my life on a 1v1 with an nba player
I'd take prime Ben Wallace. It would be an honor to have every single one of my shot attempts blocked by the legendary Big Ben 🔔
I would 1v1 Trae Young, I think I could score a couple. I would still lose easily tho lol
As much as it makes him mad we all know these are definitely Jimmy's favorite videos to make
sorry ur comment got stolen by a bot
I agree no matter who you choose your gonna lose in a 1v1
That dude who did a circle on defense on the Cavs 😂

LeBron is the number 1 playoff scorer.😂😂
If I had to 1v1 an NBA Player to keep my family alive I would choose someone kind like I dunno Dame, and then beg them to let me win to save my family. If they say no, time to say goodbye.
Spud Webb, he’s the shortest player I can think of that doesn’t have an NBA level shot from three, I just chuck prayers and he can get 2’s every possession, I’d say I’ve got a solid 1% chance of winning

when we getting a video on how the celtics are making history jimmy?
I got a real question what does Steph have to do to pass magic on the list 🤔
he wouldn't statistically, but they're on the same boat as both of them are the goat in what they do best, pg and shooter.
I love the hot take videos jxmmy 🔥🔥
2:52
Jimmy to defend Lebron did you really have to use a clip of him dribbling between the legs and then hitting the side of the backboard, and play it TWICE 😭
That’s the clip that casuals cherry picked to “prove” he has no skill.
@C. E. Oh right, that makes sense
It’s the video of “the take”. Some guy commented about lebron with this video, and while this take was on the screen, this video was on the loop. It’s not something Jimmy chose to defend lebron.
@Tahja hmmm
Because that’s the clip they show everywhere with this take
I could beat the worst NBA player in history - Chris Dudley '87-'03.

I’m taking magic Johnson over Steph any day magic don’t need to shoot he’s 6’9 as a PG he’s the modern Ben Simmons but better 12:29
i can easily beat literally any nba player in history, ill just act mentally disabled and have them pity me and let me win

“I miss watching Lebron cook with his weak ahh move”💀💀
@Lynx it'd because he's 6'8" with a high release point, he doesn't need much room to get it off. Plus it's like a dribble cancel animation😂😂, plus if you creep up even at his age, he's blowing by
Shit was unguardable for some reason i'd miss it too😭
You dont?
He just did it yesterday against POR lol
That one had me laughing out LOUD.
Jimmy never misses
I'd take 2022 Bob Cousy. And I'm a legend in my playground.

@Cole Anderson LeTruth
@wpriddy lebron had a feeling kobe was gonna drop 80 that game in vegas
My high school team played kobe's team in a tournament in Vegas, back in 96. Two d1s and a d2 on our team. He dropped 80.
Hot take: I'm picking CP3 over Kanye west 😂

That play at 5:20...wow. Not only the double team, but through his own team mate's legs!
