u r lucky… as i am obsessed with this GOAT .. n looking after his each video in 2022 .. he was not only king in the ring but king of wisdom as well ! ALI
It warms my heart and makes me teary when I see his reaction to Frazier. The man he went to such ferocious wars with. Proves how much he actually admired and respected Frazier. I know he did it to sell the fight but wish he was a bit nicer to him. Both legends
Ali never hated Frazier, but Frazier hated Ali. Frazier boasted that he caused Ali’s tremors. He wanted Ali to fall into the Olympic flame. Ali did sort of apologize to Frazier’s son, but never directly to Joe.
Also bare in mind that Ali said, and I quote - "If I ever had to go to war, I want Joe Frazier right beside me." Boxing is a sport among gladiators. They challenge each other's ego to bring out their best. Historic rivals like Sugar Ray Robinson and LaMotta were fierce against each other, then had a steak dinner over some laughs afterwards.
I am privileged to watch the life and times of the world greatest Boxer, Entertainer and spiritual gifted man- Mohammed Ali. I believe that he was the finest of humanity. To God be the glory!
"Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds. Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors. And cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good." Great Qur'an
True story: in 1988, I sent him a letter about how much he inspired me, at the end I said if you ever have time, call me ( put my number); about a week later he did call me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whenever I wanna release my emotions, i just search for any of Ali's documentaries then I go watch and cry in floods. His smile is emotionally magnetic. RIP Legend 🕊️
this is like a funeral but when you're alive. when everyone that either fought with you, cried with you, or laughed with you is speaking highly of you. Amazing..
I've never seen this special tribute to the great Mohammed Ali. I was literally in tears and goosebumps at the end of it. I first knew about Ali through my father's love for him. I grew up in a small tiny village in the small tiny country of Tonga 🇹🇴 in the sixties, but after every great fight of this great champion, my father would secure a copy of the fight and showed it to everyone and charged a fee. He helped so many people in so many ways Thank you Champ!!!
When I ran into Muhammad Ali on the street in Los Angeles in the mid 80’s he was already declining mentally, but everyone around him showed him the utmost respect and love that he deserved, and he appreciated it.
Love how excited Ali was for his guests, he was genuinely amazed to see them come on the show…This was in 1978 (45 yrs ago) and I can say with confidence that we will never witness another man this legendary again. I still remember where I was when Ali passed, and even though I didn’t know him personally a wave of grief struck me and I continue carrying it till this day. May you rest in peace champ, we all miss you. ❤️ 🕊️
I remember watching this as a child with my parents when it first aired and my dad was in tears from beginning to end. Fast forward 40 odd years and I'm watching it with my children in a flood of tears. More than likely, this scenario will be repeated with my children and grandchildren at some time in the future. There will never be another like Ali! Thank you uploader for the wonderful memories..
The entire show was made with love and care. The high lights when Frazier came in. So much respect and admiration between those two legends. Their trilogy, easily, the greatest in sports history. May both Rest In Peace.
RIP Muhammad Ali. This took me on an emotional roller coaster. A true champion & legend & to me & a lot of other people he was & is the Goat much love champ 🏆 ❤ 💙 🙌 🙏 🥊
@Tempus Fugit thanks for letting me know why he refused to join the US force. I just knew he refused but wasn't aware of his reasons. Thanks once again.
When Ali said he feels like a little boy getting a new toy for Christmas, he wasn't just saying that to say it. That's how he actually felt, just look at how giddy he gets when someone walks in that he never expected, the jumping in the air, the joy and excitement of meeting them. There is just so much love and appreciation on that stage but how can there not be? It's Muhammad Ali, a legend, The Greatest.
I never saw his family nor friends before. This was a treat. It truly takes a village. No one, no one is self made. He seemed to come to life with every guest.
As a 67 year old "white" guy I can easily say that Ali is the greatest hero of my long life. My wonderful Dad taught me to be a gentleman... but Ali taught me what it meant to be a man.
Truly the shiniest star in a night sky full of stars. Not only that he is a master in his trade craft but graceful, witty and highly intelligent - truly the greatest champ of all time! May God bless his soul and May he rest in eternal peace.

I felt like I knew him I was obsessed with the Ali story as a young child and here I am at 42 still watching videos collecting memorabilia. He was the greatest boxer but an even better human being
It's amazing how well researched this show is further they spent to fly so many of his close acquaintances from Kentucky to London. In comparison today we have content with not even a fraction of the effort put together in this one single episode 👏 🙌
I remember watching this back then when i was a young boy. Im so happy ive found this an able too watch this wonderful moment again. Many thanks for this upload.
A wonderful heartwarming reunion and an awesome experience for this greatest of great boxers ! A terrific , generous , warm loving compassionate human being with a great sense of humor !
I cant remember the last time i laugh so hard, Ali a fantastic all round entertainer and he had all the makings of a little boy. Love the man, a real life hero
I don’t think I’ve ever had a smile on my face for 43 minutes in a row in my life...no I haven’t. Boy I’m so happy he had this surprise while he could still take it in and also make all those jokes and clowning! What a great human being. He’s laughing during Joe's story is priceless❤️
I remember watching this when it was broadcast - it’s still one of my greatest moments when I got to meet him…..the only time I’ve been awestruck by anyone.
Any generation watch his videos and fights they will be definitely inspire with him . Never seen in sports history like this man true legend May Allah grant him jannah
I can watch Muhammad Ali all day long his stories are amazing to to know what he's been through in his life may God bless his soul rest in peace Muhammad Ali you're the greatest of all time
@Darrell Westphal Look up Ali's record; he had plenty of KOs and TKOs. Great boxers are not solely judged by power and brawling ability; if you were bored by Ali in the ring, you're welcome to seek out movies such as "John Wick" to satisfy your primal urges. Ali was a craftsman. Not to say Tyson was not incredible in his day, as he most certainly was. Yet another "power" fighter who knocked out his opponents in quick time was George Foreman, victims including amazing fighters such as Frazier and Norton. While you're looking up Ali's record, you may want to pay attention to how he won his fight against Foreman. .
Maximus Desimus you made a mistake and reply to me when you should have replied to makinson Joe the one above me I never said that he hated white people I do not know I never met the guy. I don't think his mother was very happy changing his name and religion. All I said was I don't think he was a very good fighter every time I see him fight he did more dancing and clutching where they had to be pulled apart many times by referee and he would talk good talk on TV one thing that is common with the African American man is a all talk a good story most will tell you that they're great lovers built with a elephant trunk between their legs and all women want them I have known many black people I am not a racist but I know what I know. My opinion Muhammad Ali should never have been made heavyweight champion Sugar Ray Leonard can fight better than him and he's low weight champion at his time. But at least he can hit Frasier was a better fighter than him Mike Tyson was far better than him if Mike Tyson could have controlled his anger in the ring and out he would have become heavyweight champion of the world. He get in the ring and knock you out that's fighting. All Muhammad Ali would do was on camera say he flies like a butterfly and sting like a bee then you watch him on TV and all he does is dance around most of his fights was won by points. As far as Islam goes I have no use for any religion and that's the worst of the bunch.
yeah that was him saying but his floating like a butterfly was mostly dancing in the ring that man did more dancing then fighting he was all talk and no fight every time I watched him I got bored he won his fight by points nobody got knocked out then I saw Mike Tyson fight now there's a fighter he knocks people out no dancing no talking just fighting.
Obviously, life did not do you well. That's why you're hating on one who actually had one, even after he died. PEACE to the HATERS!!! But he did dislike whites, so ill give you that.
Damn....Ali will always be the GOAT for me and everyone who knows him A Great Entertainer and A Great Athlete. A Legend who will always be remembered as the GOAT ❤

All the gigantic effort of bringing all the people from all around the world is amazing befitting tribute to Muhammad Ali. Well done show producer and team !
Veronica knew all about it and she was in touch with the staff of This is Your Life. Ali realised she was doing things in secret but didn't know the reason. He thought she was having an affair!

Seeing Frazier walking through the door got my eyes teary.... He had with him one of the greatest trilogies with him....
Boxing soul mates haha
It warms my heart and makes me teary when I see his reaction to Frazier. The man he went to such ferocious wars with. Proves how much he actually admired and respected Frazier. I know he did it to sell the fight but wish he was a bit nicer to him. Both legends
Exactly. Could have been a little nicer to a shy private man. Helps to see them together here. A lot.
NV
@Mr MojoRisen87 fraizer in this video seems to not hate ali but respects him a lot.
We miss him, he is so unique, so magnificent, so much himself. So unbelievably great.

There is something around him, like a light or an aura. Just his appearance is inspiring

Veronica knew all about it and she was in touch with the staff of This is Your Life. Ali realised she was doing things in secret but didn't know the reason. He thought she was having an affair!

Simply The Greatest. He saw off all the considerable competition of his day, including Joe Frazier and George Foreman, whom everyone thought invincible. Truly wonderful to see him with all those he loved and respected. RIP Muhammed...Thank you for so many spectacular fights. Rest Peacefully 🙏🏻
