I want glasses made out of that stuff VR, AR on demand! Imagine just going around then you can just sit and watch a movie and then just with the press of a button make it fully transparent some kind of dynamic glass (darkening/smoking) tech clouds be used to make the experience even better while watching a movie or in VR mode and then for more AR stuff they would act more like smart glasses

Why not darken the screen with a huge twisted nematic liquid crystal. Positive voltage darkens the screen, no voltage lightens the screen. You can even adjust the transparency in software using PWM. It would not be difficult, it's already implemented on those solar keychain souvenirs, and they are literally less than a dollar a dozen.

I could see a glass high rise building, where all the glass are those TV's as a billboard but I don't really see it as something really viable for the home use. Unless you have a bat cave or a room with very little light in it. Although I wonder how it would function with window tinting or a one way mirror on the back side.

Would be interesting to combine the two technologies LCD (just for black and greys) and OLED - this way you could back out some parts of the image. For example, you could project a ghost "behind" someone seeing himself in the mirror (if the reflective surface is right behind the screen)... For OLED-only technology, the ghost may be only "shiny" - with no parts darker than the reflected background, while if there was LCD as well, the ghost can have a black cloak covering the background.

I see shops and stores using these clear displays.
Imagine walking in the city and passing by a guitar shop who uses this technique for the shop windows, presenting their latest line of instruments, together with visual FX coming from the monitor. Shopping and interaction in the city would be so futuristic and visually pleasing.
Or bus and car windows where people can check out public transport schedules, watching the news or navigational information, etc.
Or put these displays against your windows in home so you can create any atmosphere you would like. Like, snow falling in your own block ( in summertime), or see a lava eruption behind our neighbours home, or pretend you live on Mars, with a Martian window view. And you can pick any window to use as a TV because they are all connected to the same network. Man, this is great.
And like Linus said, a head to head system where you put two of these displays and mirror them against eachothers back. So you can play games.
No this isn't a simple, funny invention... This is a step closer to a star trek future.

put rhis on every car as a hud for deer warnings then this would be a billion dollar idea and save so much on animals getting hit and protect people in cars. put a gps overlay so in fog you can see the road in winter storm or heavy fog and still see outline of people and animals and cars as heat signatures will appear in the hud without distracting the driver as only heat signatures will show up as a faint glow. That way the driver NEVER takes his eyes off the road but the display shows in real time in forest or in dark sides of the road people, bikes, and animals ready to jolt onto the road. This allows the user to reduce speed knowing danger is ahead. If I had the money I would invest in this idea and be the next bill gates. You offer as automotive glass and its a simple install for older cars and newer ones. Uses a flare type heat signature system but on the windshield.

Big Idea: see through screen in front of a normal screen in a housing with static adjustment settings and maybe t some point an adaptive adjust. Imagine a movie filmed with two cameras at different focal points so that both images are in focus 100% of the time but the viewer can only focus on one at a time because they are on different planes, creating a pseudo 3D, could that even work with games? Would this work exceptionally well with VR technology?
