Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal-every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

I really love how Pepa is talking about how Bruno ruined her wedding and her husband is just “I had a great time :)))”

i love how in everyone else's verses you can't hear footsteps, and clothes, but only in Dolores' part you can, further implying that she can hear every sound made, no matter how soft it is.

  • CloudShifter

Fun fact: Each of the characters sing a completely different tune on a different tempo and aesthetic. The composers managed to make them all simingly tansition and even combined all of them in a perfect syncronization which is an immensly difficult thing to do.

I’m so mad Dolores didn’t get her own song bc her voice is amazing

  • MissAmieHolly

Real question: Why are the voices so perfectly harmonized? How can a song be this perfectly composed?

No cap this is definitely in the high ranks of Disney’s best songs. I ironically get chills during the part when they all sing over eachother

I will never get over how visually pleasing Isabela’s scenes in the movie are, even after she’s broken out of her “perfection” 🌸

  • Pratik Timsina

This song never gets old. No matter how much i listen, i never get bored.

Best song from the movie. Funny how Dolores' verse was largely true while her brother Camilo dropped the biggest lie in any verse. "7 foot frame" when Bruno was barely 5 ft tall. 😂 Those 2 were my favorite characters overall though.

  • The World's Greatest Castle Cat 4 Speedrunner

This is the perfect Disney song. Music, visuals, storytelling, personality, character development, hidden meanings, easter eggs, ensemble, variety of styles combined seamlessly and gloriously.

  • Brian Burkett

Dolores’s verse hits the hardest. She’s the only person to realize that Bruno struggled with his gift. The only person who didn’t vilify him. Dolores deserves the world.

  • Ryder Landau

I loved how during Dolores’ part, all the sounds, from the shoes tapping tongue swoosh of the dresses was louder and more noticeable, giving us a glimpse into what she might experience

  • Parker Barnhart

The writing in this song is incredible. Spoiler: how ironically despite the Madrigals hatred for Bruno because he supposedly brought them bad luck with his visions, the lyrics prove that they still care about him. For example, when Dolores sings about how she can hear Bruno muttering and mumbling, that must mean that Bruno never left in the first place and later revealed that he was in the walls the whole time.

Can we just talk about the aesthetic, the art and the choreography in the entire film. Absolutely fantastic

This song is really about how Bruno reflects people's struggle and they choose to kill the messenger rather than accept the pain of their discomfort.

I love how Camilo is just joking around and trying to scare mirabel like a real cousin would.
