It’s so cool how you can just reach out to random people from across the world and have once in a lifetime adventures like this. Bjarni and Ragnar seemed so nice.
The whole “jusy steak” thing and the fact bjarni actually cooked it was hilarious, also the whole Ragnar thing where he eats fear and isn’t afraid of anything 😂😂 they all seemed really nice btw also the demintation of how you got up the island was really good I was laughing 😂
Given how much safety there is with going through with this overnight stay, I'd believe Bjarni and Ragnar is running this as a business of extreme tourism, Iceland is known for this type of tourism. As for the house, I heard it was built by the Icelandic government to honor Bjørk for putting Iceland on the world map of popular culture and then it was converted into a hotel. And given that there are indeed sheep living on the island, I'd say it is frequently visited by the mainland for maintainance and restocks as the pentry was fully stocked with food and everything was also really clean in there. So... Adding this to the narrative you put up for this video doesn't make a lot of sense. But regardless, it was entertaining and the house is really, really pretty. :)
According to my internet search, the house stands on the island of Ellidaey off the coast of Iceland, and is owned by the Ellidaey Hunting Association. The house was built in the 1950s, and it serves as a hunting cabin and sauna for members of the association, which hunts puffins there.
Thanks for the information, I was looking forward to learning more about the house when he said he was wanting to learn more about it, but sadly the info never came aside from showing the original house, haha.
Yep they are using those nets that can be seen in the storage house to hunt them. This mass hunting technique has been feeding generations of icelandic people. SoThats what the „jusy meet“ most likely is …
The self awareness of this young man, will turn him into a wise man. He keeps talking about how he wasn't prepared or how he had no idea what he was doing.....but, now, he has learned. Well done...well done 👏
This was hysterical - great story! And while Iceland has always seemed like a fascinating country, I sure have a newfound respect for those Icelanders!
From the title I guessed it would be this place, never been there myself even though I live in Iceland, but I've often wondered about the economics of the whole thing, apart from the logistics
@Matthew Hayes I am referring to the boat ride to the house and the climb. That was not easy and not everyone is brave enough to do it, so I was just recognizing the effort that went into the video.
I found Ryan’s description of Ragnar when he first met him absolutely hilarious. “My life is in the hands of someone who is definitely not afraid of anything”. RAGNAR
Dude, the way you make it sound so sensational and risky completely obscures the fact that this is a tiny island very close to Westman Island - an Icelandic territory with a population of couple thousand people. Very far from being remote. Yes, it's nice and picturesque and the only house on this island, but it's nowhere near being the lonliest. A lot of people just couple km by.
Seems like the cabin that was in place of New Zealand’s Pencarrow lighthouse. Except that that cabin was highly exposed, to the point of the residents hiding in a cave in storms
@RyanTrahan I wonder if they have ever tried something similar to bush flying for traveling to these islands, like they do in Alaska but a bit different situation here. Might be worth the shot of they have not done it yet.
Imagine telling your sons "I went on an journey with Ragnar and Bjorni to Elliðaey Island which is located in Iceland with raging waves and air as cold as Ice"
“Lonely” is subjective. Looks perfect to me. No social media, no obnoxious neighbors, no annoying traffic. The only thing that would make it better is wildlife.
Lonliest house?? Lol... I would actually LOVE to live on that island, in my house, and with lots of lush private space all to myself! This is a loner's paradise!
I have questions!!! What about the plumbing? The heat? The other supplies?? Who brings them? How do Ragnar and the other dude have access to this house?? Are they the caretakers? So many questions unanswered!

The part where he illustrated how it happened with photoshop with the flying shark I’d actually believe when it comes to Ryan, he can literally do anything
You certainly know how to tell a story! Incredible video/journey with Ragnar and Bjarni.
HIIIIII

It’s so cool how you can just reach out to random people from across the world and have once in a lifetime adventures like this. Bjarni and Ragnar seemed so nice.

@c33k4y When you're on an island with nothing around you, wildlife preservation kinda goes out the window.
so disappointed was hoping for the purpose of wildlife preservation *emotional damage*

This is the house I imagine you make when you start a new Minecraft survival world

They're now 4.5K
Nice
@Spam Houston same here honestly.
@Spam Houston what did the shark do to you?
This is legitimately the funniest video I’ve ever seen. You are so great!
Congratulations man, you've met the coolest two guys in the world
This is awesome!! Thanks for taking us along!
This was hysterical - great story! And while Iceland has always seemed like a fascinating country, I sure have a newfound respect for those Icelanders!
Ragnar looks exactly like you'd imagine a man called Ragnar would look lol.
Specially cause he wore a backwards cap
Huh is it true…………….NO!!!!
Like@bonda72
I was expecting glowing eyes, but other than that he fits the description
TRUUUUUUEEE
Amazing video, amazing place and amazing you. Salute u man & thank you for sharing this amazing journey🙋🏻♀️
You called him (bah-jar-ne)😂
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful experience with us.
From the title I guessed it would be this place, never been there myself even though I live in Iceland, but I've often wondered about the economics of the whole thing, apart from the logistics
Man, Ryan will have a lot of story’s to tell his grandchildren… I’m jealous, man!
say them i replied you
Im also jealous of him
chclip.net/video/IL9oZz4NuoU/video.html
or video
Yeah me to man..
This video didn't explain much. How does such a remote house get water, sewer and electric?
I was having a bad day until I found this video. Your video is hilarious. Thank you.
I'm surprised they managed to put up with Ryan, it'd certainly be more lonely if I was left with him on an island...
I've only had the privelege of sailing past this island but even then it's quite a sight to see in person.
We appreciate your bravery and your absolutely logical recreations of events.
@Matthew Hayes Wait, you think he was lying? That shark be legit lmao rofl ngl
@Harry_Zombee_1 this again?! It’s a little something called sarcasm, every heard of it? (Also, you don’t sound as cool as you think you do)
@Matthew Hayes r/wooosh
@Matthew Hayes its a joke man😕
@Matthew Hayes I am referring to the boat ride to the house and the climb. That was not easy and not everyone is brave enough to do it, so I was just recognizing the effort that went into the video.
Super cool 😎. I love your story and video.!!!! Great to see Iceland.
Thank you for sharing this video with all of us.!!!🌍❤️

I love Iceland so much, i would love to move here
Can't imagine how scary sleeping in a place like this is during a very strong stormy night. 😬
What? That would be the best sleep ever. Bonus if the island is haunted by Viking ghost☺️
Seems like the cabin that was in place of New Zealand’s Pencarrow lighthouse. Except that that cabin was highly exposed, to the point of the residents hiding in a cave in storms
Not scarier than living with normal population with killers and psychos
That would be incredible.👍
Jesus is with you in the storm ☺️
I found myself laughing far more than I thought I would at this video.
@RyanTrahan
I wonder if they have ever tried something similar to bush flying for traveling to these islands, like they do in Alaska but a bit different situation here. Might be worth the shot of they have not done it yet.
you are probably the coolest guy on the internet! loved every second of this video handsome guy xD
I personally would love to have that house such a fantastic view
Imagine telling your sons "I went on an journey with Ragnar and Bjorni to Elliðaey Island which is located in Iceland with raging waves and air as cold as Ice"
@idk just a name honestly tho, it’s kinda sexist tbh
Or maybe even your daughters
@Mahjabin Alam Roshni he did cok some jusy steak
And eating bjorni’s jusy steaks
Haha
Awesome experience. Seems like a dream vacation if only for a night, the arrival and departure aside..
“Lonely” is subjective. Looks perfect to me. No social media, no obnoxious neighbors, no annoying traffic. The only thing that would make it better is wildlife.
is it not possible to get there by helicopter? or do you need a flatter surface to land there?
the fact that you convinced two buff icelandic men to film a cinematic shot with you after struggling with a steep ass hike is so funny to me
A very beautiful place, the difficulties and challenges to get here are well worth it
Dude your a funny guy. I’m on break at work and randomly found this. Solid content 🤙🏻🤙🏻 lmao
What an awesome video and I just love your humor. Thank you so much. You just made my day...
Cringe humour for hyperactive americans
Dude I just gotta subscribe. This is hilariously funny. 🤣🤣🤣 Nice story telling
I really want Bjarni to cok me a jusy steak!
he may be physically 5'8"...
but he's 6'4" in spirit
@yikes You made Ryan sound like an anime protagonist ;)
That's what your mom said
SG and YKW distance
I loved the discord school vid :D
It's the AJR guy
I extremely love how he assumed Iceland had a lot of "ice."
I've seen this house so often on the internet, so this is very interesting. Awesome video btw
I have only watched this for three minutes so far and it is so hilarious and entertaining!!!!
Hello how are you doing?
Wow this is amazing!!!! I want to join in the lonely house one day
"i'm not constipated anymore" Ryan literally visited the loneliest bathroom in the world just to finally poop
...wait, theres no way theres plumbing on that island...
you know who else goes to remote place to attend nature's call? RICK
guy travelled to iceland just to take a shit
🤢🤮
Kinda sad we didn’t get to see the bathroom
Honestly all I got out of this is Icelandic people are chill as hell. I’d live there 😊
He’s so trusting, I’d be scared I’d be walking into the “Hostel” universe.
Ragnar laughing like you would never survive a zombie apocalypse to make it here lol
Lonliest house?? Lol... I would actually LOVE to live on that island, in my house, and with lots of lush private space all to myself! This is a loner's paradise!
This man is the definition of doing side quests
Lmfao
Lmao
@Turkey ..same thing
Tf are you talking about
These side quests do be dark souls level tho
One of the most entertaining videos on CHclip!
I would love to spend the rest of my life there
It’s nice to know there are people like Ryan raising the steaks with these challenges… they’re so entertaining… *jusy steaks*
You definitely presented the peaceful beauty of this place lol 😂
With these two guys, this is far from being the loneliest house in the world
@Christy nice to meet you 🥳
@Kapoofff and you suck at questioning people
@Zeem yes
@Christy wow..a hater
its the loneliest HOME
Bro that’s a way nicer house than I was expecting. It’s kind of like paradise away from everyone lol
I was watching this at midnight thinking about it to be scary sort of but dude you made it funny instead ..good job!
Makes me laugh every time 😂😂😂😂
Would be awesome to live there
I have questions!!! What about the plumbing? The heat? The other supplies?? Who brings them? How do Ragnar and the other dude have access to this house?? Are they the caretakers? So many questions unanswered!
How could someplace be so open make someone feel so claustrophobic at the same time?
peace and solitude.... perfect... far away from the chaos of the world... i love it..
It's so weird seeing ryan in my country
I’m officially a fan! Awesome content buddy

"LONELY?" I would have thought you would have felt like a "king!" That rock, upon which, the house stands- LOOKS, just like a
"THRONE" to me!
I'd live there in a heartbeat, just me and my cats, heaven
I want to live here! It's my dream!

Anything except climb a cliff 🤣
I believed he fell lol
@Gamerboy78 hiii 👋
Hi
THIS is a backrooms level 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Your videos are awesome and funny!! 😅
You awesome good humor
I love how when Bjarni pronounces his name ryan says “bear knee” 😭
I like how they have a fence to keep the neighbors out of their front yard
oh this is a humongous banger
@Ryan Trahan 🥶🥶🥶😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️
Didn’t expect to see Will in Knee in these neck of the woods
hi pal
@Ryan Trahan @Ryan Trahan @Ryan Trahan
Minecraft man
Being a person who lives in Iceland this is funny af
I'd love to live there...be a little difficult to get to Costco, though.
Always pictured that being where they stuck Napoleon, now I know it’s waaaaaaay further north from that island…and I wanna visit both, lol.
Dude that would be so cool to stay there with the boys for 5 days. You would need to bring so much food and beer though
