Words cannot express how much I love this woman. I remember growing up and listening to her singing while thinking "I wish I could ever be half as good at something as she is at doing music". So much talent that withstands culture changes, age, and overall time! I wish I could meet her one day just to say thanks for all the company she's brought to my life through her music....during holiday season or not.
If anyone has read her book knows how difficult Christmas was for Mariah growing up, she was so determined to have the best Christmas every year and now she is the queen of Christmas, she really does love the holidays with her heart. Her success is so deserving.

I was actually scared because the last live she did with emotions she hit NO note, and I was shaking here like, is she gonna do it? But she did it and I am SO happy... OMG!
I never was a fan of her until in my med class we learned about nodules and she was used as an example of rare cases where people can use such trauma to the body for greatness. Nodules are cysts in the throat which is why she can sing well sometimes and not so consistent other days. I really applaud her for continuing her successful career as an insane vocalist humbly ignoring the ignorance out there that tries to tear her down for something out of her control.
Nodules are caused by improper singing technique and abuse of the vocal cords over time. She’s had vocal damage her entire career, as I’ve followed her as a fan very closely. It’s amazing that she’s been able to accomplish what she has though. I would say the techniques they’ve resorted to to help aide her troubles have become more obvious over time, but it doesn’t really matter. She’s a legend. When I first started with a vocal coach, she swatted me with a stick when I told her I was trying this whistle register, and she explained how it was done and not to do it. She said her voice would be gone within a few years without proper guidance. Still, I’m glad to see her keep going despite all her trials and tribulations.
