🤣🤣😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 All these clowns have to do is something wrong and then apologize for it and you dumb sheep "tHiS iS wHy PeOpLe ReSpEk HiM" And of course lebron has your back... Your skin is the right color for him. 🤡🌎
I don’t think Shannon would be that passive aggressive with Skip. He would tell him right there, in clear, unambiguous terms, if it was an issue like that. I think he made that clarification because he and Skip are always talking about people who “apologize” but not really. At least that is my inference.
Coming from Memphis, you owe us no apology. It's a part of the game. If it weren't you, it would've been someone else. We have much love and respect for you, Shannon! You're always welcome to Memphis!
@SmoothCoastin if this is the part where I'm supposed to respond negatively, then I will apologize in advance for disappointing you. I speak only for those who share my same thoughts. No big deal in disagreeing, my friend. God bless you and much, much love!
@jx14aby That is not my point. An apology can be both rehearsed/staged AND real. The fact that he didn't have a choice is what makes it 'staged'. But at the same time I believe he meant what he said.
@Mr. Q. Brooks started using profanity and Sharpe said the same thing back…I don’t see where he was wrong. If I tell you you’re too small to guard lebron, you get in your feelings & get disrespectful same energy applies 💯
Shannon's apology brought a master class of "Here is how you recognize your mistakes, acknowledge them, and then heartfelt apologize for them." Sadly Skip had the corners of his mouth up and momentarily looked giddy that Shannon was in the heat. It says a lot about Skip.
Yall are sheep and follow the crowd. Skip didn't do anything wrong. People are fake outraged over a reading comprehension problem. And yall fake outrage activists ran with it.
@Matthew Joseph The Common Sense American we'll can't everyone be as perfect as you not since Jesus has there been someone as perfect as you. I would say you to perfect to watch this show. Get the duck out here you stupid clown 🤡
You don't owe us no apology, but the fact that you did makes me love you even more Unc! I've always been a Shannon Shape fan and forever will be 💪🏾 -Grizzlies Fan
Me too I had tears in my eyes and I'm not a weak man but I have feelings don't want to see other people hurt. I have changed since the late 80's which makes me care a little bit more about people. I know some people going to call me weak but I like good people.
Believe in the Son of God. Our Saviour Jesus Christ died so that we will live. Jesus said, "I'm the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". John 14:6.
Not only Athlete's but people just in life should all watch this man . The biggest problem in this country is accountability.. nobody's ever wrong !! Shannon I commend you brother!!! Thank you for showing the world how you're supposed to handle things!!!
So happy to see this. Sometimes people can catch us off guard but I appreciate this standard to apologize and recognize your platform. Our young people especially needs to see more calm and respect to one another. Things are just too volatile today. Much respect Shannon. 🙏🏾
I liked how Shannon apologized for his actions. I think we all get caught up in the moment of sports events and being die hard fans of our teams. This was heartfelt and you could see the remorse in his voice. Shannon you still my favorite sports host, at least number one on my Mount Rushmore of sports analysts. I also liked what LeBron said about Shannon.
Love this bro.... there's alot of people who owe you an apology but what you just did is the main reason why you're a great man and they're still lost.
Good for you Shannon Sharp. You are a great man for apologizing. I know you meant it and really wasn't a big deal but these days, some people make too big of deals with that. You did the right thing and your fans and people that watch your show are on your side.
Being out of character happens to the best of us its just matter of when and how but what happens next and what you Do about it makes a world of difference. Salute to you Sir💯👍🏼🙏
We love you Shannon. As a Lakers fan I believe you sparked a fire in us that we needed. To see that our fans are still passionate about our team winning.
LMAO! A football player inspired you to CHEER HARDER for a basketball team? But the basketball players on the court… did NOT? 😮😂 🤡 Humdrum celeb worship. Nothing to see here. Unless you enjoy pathetic groveling and illogical emotional entertainment from desperate fans. Raise your children and take care of your families. These guys aren’t concerned with fans & didn’t mention fans for a reason. Cheer the team and go home. Or turn off your TV. If you don’t attend games. Shannon is a Celtics and LeBron… Stan. Non-celebrity would’ve been ejected and banned. Shannon never apologized for extreme unfounded disrespect of Kyrie. He should stick with football anyway. Entire circus.
Shannon is a real one. That was probably one of the most articulate and sincere apologies I've seen a public figure give (and he really didn't do anything wrong). Dude was raised right
💯 percent props to Shannon Sharpe. That's what a good man can do when HE knows that HE was wrong about his own actions. Not every man CAN do this but the exceptional ones can. Those who continue to defend how he behaved now see that HE has admitted that he was wrong. That should be be enough for everyone. We all have made mistakes and wish that we could have handled situations better than we have in life but these are learning experiences that will hopefully make us better people in the end. I never really was a Shannon Sharpe fan but I became one when after he did this because it says a lot about the kind of man he is.
That’s a legit apology with no “I’m sorry but”. This dude is the real deal!! So much respect for you Shannon and your family as we all have heard your story including your grandmother
@WillSr70 I take my hat off to Skip for not saying anything. Shannon needed to get that off his chest in order to go forward with a clear conscious and hopefully everyone he apologized to accepts it.
@Darryl Perry We're around the same age then, this young generation could learn something from this, anyone can act a fool, but only a man accepts when he's wrong.Youre right about skip,he normally over talks him,but he actually stepped back and let him handle his buisness.
Thanks for your comment I feel the same way. I am 3 years older than Shannon but I respect him and I have to say that Skip earned some points back with me for giving Shannon the floor.... Thank you Skip
Unc has so much class and character I’m so glad he is on this show. He brings me joy with his passion for sport. Much love for Shannon and proud of him for handling the situation.
Shannon I know you’ll probably never see this comment, but I just want to say thanks for always being yourself. You’ve given all the young adults my age a perfect role model to follow.
@Mike Demirdjian No, I didn't feel it was owed, but I also don't call people racist without cause especially when nothing they said was racist. Good day.
"I'm never going to say that that wasn't Shannon Sharpe because that was me; that was just me getting out of character. I'm sorry." This is a masterclass in public apologies. Owned his mistake, apologized sincerely, never deflected or tried to blame anyone else, said "I was wrong" four times.
This the best PR-related apology I’ve heard in a long time. One that has sincerity, self-awareness and accountability. You can tell that as both a former professional athlete and a media professional, Shannon has had the time to see a lot of people do this wrong and he's smart enough not to be that guy.
So many times my emotions get the best of me and later I find myself apologizing when I just wished I would have been a better person in the Heat of the moment. I will always try to do better.
He basically schooled all of us, Skip included, on what a genuine apology sounds like, and having enough character/humility to apologize ... even when it's probably not that necessary.
I knew you would man up and apologize, 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 people were out here defending and lemme tell you. I look up to you Shannon!!! But things should never get that bad at a game. Love you even more for continuing to be a great man!!!❤️
This is not only an apology - it is a lesson on how apologies should be given: Sincere, direct, personal, captivating and above all, geared toward all the affected parties. @ShannonSharpe this is why you are our UNC!
That’s a great example of being a solid stand up man and human being with high levels of ethics morality humility and class. There is a clear cut difference between the type of man Shannon sharpe is and the type of man skip bayless is.
Once a fan, always a fan of Mr. Shannon Sharpe! Real men are able to apologize when they do something wrong, and set good examples for younger men growing up.
When you do things that dont sit right with you later on, you have to do right to be right within. big ups to this guy. Nobody is perfect, but we all must be accountable before we are held accountable .
Lol I love how Shannon is addressing this because he has to and is saying it doesn’t matter how many times the other dude was saying what he was saying when we all know it was Shannon starting all of this.
This is a grown man right here. We’re proud of you Shannon. Now, for the people who do not know how to apologize, here’s the perfect example. There was no but……
@Just talking - yes. He’s a public figure with a lot of responsibility. A role model for kids and other professional athletes. Plus, don’t forget there is cancel culture. Imagine you going to your kid’s game and almost getting into a fight with other parents or kids 1/2 your age. It wouldn’t look good one anyone.
When we accept responsibility for making emotional mistakes, humility nourishes our spirits and attracts others to do the same. Well done Shannon Sharpe!
@Common Sense never will happen, they can never be wrong at all times and apologizing is not on their vocabulary. They are always the hero, the victim, and has all the rights to speak and listen to.
When Shannon said "I'll never be too big to say I'm sorry " lol, would of been nice to see 👀 the expression on Skips face. Skip should have done something similar towards Shannon Sharpe for his disrespectful remarks on his career. Oh well, hopefully we all live and learn from each other as we grow.
@Troy Black You literally glossed over specific questions to take a stance you thought was virtuous one, in a situation where the man admitted he was flat out in the wrong. Btw, I'm stating my opinion as just that, my opinion. Explaining "why" is not presenting it as fact. It's called supporting an argument/stance. You don't have to accept it, but you also provided nothing disprove it. And bruh, stop with the "sensitive" stuff. This was a simple discussion of differing opinions and no lines were crossed. Folks start saying stuff like that to deflect. Nothing you said needs to be internalized. It wasn't a prolific statement, and I'd be willing to bet if it were someone other than a celebrity or familiar face, you wouldn't be as empathetic towards them in this situation. In a minute...
@MamasBoy dude you said you have never lost control to the point where it almost got physical . That's why I said you're a special kind of guy . Stop being sensitive . And again and for the last time , you were not privy to the conversation so you "ASSUMED" whatever was said was perceived as a threat . You are basing your "OPINIONS" as FACTS . I was suggesting that you hold judgment until you know better , but insist on responding just to talk instead of internalizing what I said . Peace out.....
@Troy Black you literally asked me have I ever lost control, as if it’s a common occurrence. You asked, had I ever lost control of myself? When I answered, you responded by saying I’m a “special individual” which means I’m different than the norm. That means you think the norm is for people to lose control and that insinuation brought in the “everybody” you say we’re not talking about. What am I not being honest about? My part in what? I literally said I used an (s) and “you got that one”. That was just me misspeaking, not attempting to exaggerate the situation. You said all he was doing is what “every” fan/supporter does. Not, “everyone fan/supporter is at a game/watching a game trash talking. That’s just a flat out lie. Let me get this straight. Shannon trash talked (instigated). Brooks responded back as he’s walking to his bench. Then, Shannon stands up, walks to the edge of the court and aggressively challenges him (escalated). And when those guys sense a potential threat from court side and confront it, you want them held responsible? Shannon himself has spoken against this type of behavior from fans/supporters, and has accepted responsibility for crossing the line. Yet, you are somehow still trying to act like someone else is to blame or losing control is acceptable behavior. Watch the video again and you’ll see the players coming over after he’s at the edge of the court aggressively challenging Brooks. I’ll ask you again, since you made it a point not to address it. If it wasn’t ego, drugs/alcohol, past beef, “why” did Shannon lose control in that moment?
@MamasBoy We not talking about everybody , I was talking about you and here you are still not being honest and accountable for your part . You said games meaning plural meaning multiple incidents . All he was doing is what every fan/supporter of players/teams have been doing since the inception of sports . Are you saying that because of his celebrity status , he doesn't have the right as a fan to trash talk ? Also you refuse to hold any of the players accountable in this situation . They approached him ! Once they did that , THEY escalated the situation right ? So at that point he wasn't supposed to defend himself ? Without holding both sides accountable , your point is invalid....
@Troy Black Bruh, think about what you're saying. If the majority of people lost control like that, this world would be in total chaos. Everyone gets angry, but the majority don't lose control. You're responding as if I said the man is a bad person. I said it seems like his ego is starting to play a part in how he reacts/carries himself. You attempted to repurpose my words to fit your narrative. I did not say "you hardly ever see him get into anything". What I said was "you didn't hardly hear anything about Shannon Sharpe". Meaning there was no attention nor light being shone on him. He was a HOFer, but his name was not a household name. Now, his name is ringing and that can/does cause some folks to get a bit of a big head and act out of character. Did I really diagnose him with something or did I say "seems like"? There's a difference. Also, I never used the term "multiple". But, maybe you saw the "s" on disruptions and took that angle. You got that one.😉 When someone instigates, then escalates a situation, the first question should be "why"? So, I'll ask you. If it wasn't about Shannon's recent rise in popularity, wasn't drugs/alcohol, wasn't past issues, what caused him to randomly act out of character and do something he's spoke against?
Best apology I've seen from any person of an elevated status. A true reflection of a human - not perfect ~ yet striving for excellence and being better always. Accountability and responsibility. Truly a great person. Well done Shannon Sharpe.
@Kickinthescience Yeah if it was a player, he would get into it most likely but Shannon in the situation is a fan in the crowds and Dillon has very rarely if ever gotten into the face of someone in the crowd. Also getting a fans face is weird af
@Sin Dilacion Do you know why it escalated. Because Shannon got up out of his seat screaming and yelling at Brook from across the court. Hes in the wrong because hes the reason it escalated
@Ian Sansan he was talking trash at a game, it escalated and a group of people started running towards him. Honestly if you think he was wrong that's fine, but it was not that serious for an apology😂😂
Shannon is Pure Class! That’s what accountability sounds like. Even though it wasnt that serious he still gave a heart felt apology to everyone involved and everyone affected by it. I hope skip learned a little from hearing that especially after the Hamlin situation where he had to much pride to admit his insensitivity and also where he was throwing shade at Shannon and down playing how great of a TE he was and Hall of Fame Pedigree to try and prop Brady up when Shannon rightfully called him out for playing less than sub par
Skip is a pouty child that refuses to admit when he’s wrong. He clings so hard to Brady’s accomplishment’s always saying his full name hoping he can gain Brady’s favor and be close to him like how Shannon and Lebron are. But that’s never going to happen. Shannon and LeBron are both greats in their sports and that’s something skip will never be able to relate to.
This apology is EXACTLY why so many people love and respect him.
He didn’t even write the “apology”
🤣🤣😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
All these clowns have to do is something wrong and then apologize for it and you dumb sheep
"tHiS iS wHy PeOpLe ReSpEk HiM"
And of course lebron has your back... Your skin is the right color for him. 🤡🌎
Exactly. Never too big to apologize. Enough said
@Lee Let's be honest. You're talking semantics.
@Sin Dilacion So what? He was wrong anyway.
"I'm never too big to apologize" clear shot at skip, love it
@PotentialPlayer Umm… there ain’t no PROBABLY to it! Skip Bayless is indeed a bonafide narcissist!
I don’t think Shannon would be that passive aggressive with Skip. He would tell him right there, in clear, unambiguous terms, if it was an issue like that. I think he made that clarification because he and Skip are always talking about people who “apologize” but not really. At least that is my inference.
Dat part
The fact any of you are comparing words or tweets to physical altercations says it all.
@derek D horribly worded tweet coming with terrible timing
That was the most authentic and meaningful apology I've ever heard from a public figure on TV.
eviaN?
As should be expected from a man with his character. I knew before clicking it would be authentic so he could set an example for black men
Exactly
And it didn't cost him one cent.
Coming from Memphis, you owe us no apology. It's a part of the game. If it weren't you, it would've been someone else. We have much love and respect for you, Shannon! You're always welcome to Memphis!
You speak for everyone as tho you're the governor
@SmoothCoastin if this is the part where I'm supposed to respond negatively, then I will apologize in advance for disappointing you. I speak only for those who share my same thoughts. No big deal in disagreeing, my friend. God bless you and much, much love!
Lmfao like you have any authority to claim such a thing 🤣 😂 🤡
@Sl1m3ySlatt true. Only to whom it applies to.
@Andrey who is this "we" you speak of? Don't care. I'm just curious.
He literally had no choice but to make this apology, yet still managed to make it a real, honest apology. Can't help but like the guy.
@jx14aby That is not my point.
An apology can be both rehearsed/staged AND real.
The fact that he didn't have a choice is what makes it 'staged'.
But at the same time I believe he meant what he said.
Fully agree
Sincerity is the key. Once you can fake that, you've got it made.
I know Shannon had to make an apology because of his job and stuff, but I really liked how he stood his ground
@Renoir Randy quit judging him
He a Georgia Boy scared of nothing
@Mr. Q. Brooks started using profanity and Sharpe said the same thing back…I don’t see where he was wrong. If I tell you you’re too small to guard lebron, you get in your feelings & get disrespectful same energy applies 💯
How did he stand his ground? He embarrassed himself by starting it. Then getting on the court he needed to get kicked out of the arena.
I respect Shannon even more for this
Damn. That was probably the greatest and most sincere apology of all time. What a man.
@UYigga I would suggest you to go and watch some of his football highlights, in case you haven’t before. That man fears no human being
he went karen and then regreted. I would cringe if I see myself like that on screen, shitting my pants vs Steven Adams
Uncle Tom is a decent actor. He knows his roll do what you're told or your gone.
@Wes stg you cant even be mad wtf
It’s crazy because for an apology to be decent/good, you really just need to say “I was wrong and I’m sorry”
Shannon's apology brought a master class of "Here is how you recognize your mistakes, acknowledge them, and then heartfelt apologize for them." Sadly Skip had the corners of his mouth up and momentarily looked giddy that Shannon was in the heat. It says a lot about Skip.
@Frye nah let the psychologist in the comments flex they degrees 😂
Nahh skip wus smiling cuz he kno shannon wus bout that action.. skip n shannon r closer then steven n skip
Yeah i seen that too. Skip is a snake.
Yall are sheep and follow the crowd. Skip didn't do anything wrong. People are fake outraged over a reading comprehension problem. And yall fake outrage activists ran with it.
What a great apology...even saying sorry to his family. ❤
Facts but it's ridiculous that he had to apologise to his family. World is so over sensitive and acts like he stabbed a white woman
Damn... as a Grizzlies fan I just gotta say I have nothing but respect for this man after this. What a class act!
No way u from Memphis with that bs comment
@Jay Rizz cool story bro.
He was forced to say those things, he still hates your players
I’m Japanese cover singer.
Please listen to my cover songs!!
Even more respect to Unc after this apology💯
@Matthew Joseph The Common Sense American 🤣🤣🤣 clown 🤡
@Ma$ta of the Rat Race no one is claiming to be perfect
@Matthew Joseph The Common Sense American yeah I'm sure you're the epitome of perfect behavior... I wanna be like you when I grow up
@BIGG DOGG im not perfect. you dont have to be perfect to offer criticism.
@Matthew Joseph The Common Sense American we'll can't everyone be as perfect as you not since Jesus has there been someone as perfect as you. I would say you to perfect to watch this show. Get the duck out here you stupid clown 🤡
This guy does his parents, his family, and himself proud by the way he goes his life - a very decent man.
You don't owe us no apology, but the fact that you did makes me love you even more Unc! I've always been a Shannon Shape fan and forever will be 💪🏾

I really felt this apology ..almost like he was apologizing to me too 🥺

Wow. My respect for him went through the roof with this one. This is how a grown man apologizes. Something we can all learn from
True definition of a man. Never be to big to apologize and admit when you’re wrong. Love and Respect unk!
He shouldn’t of .. I’m sure the network made him do it
Believe in the Son of God. Our Saviour Jesus Christ died so that we will live. Jesus said, "I'm the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". John 14:6.
@Anthony Davis Skip is a member of the group that can stand on what they say or do. Only brothers have to apologize
@Efrain Parada pineda , you truly believe FS1 would even think of firing Shannon for an incident like this??? 😂
@Jason Daley Agreed. I don't think Shannon was wrong, either.
Well done Shannon. ABSOLUTE RESPECT ❤️

Ok I don’t think I have ever seen an apology so classy I love this man . RESPECT!!!
That’s the most honest public apology I’ve seen in a while. Real accountability 💪🏾
@Kali Surf 10000%
Fanboys 🤮
@Kali Surf tf does that gotta do with anything?
@mrmorris215 People were too dumb to understand Skip's tweet, he said what several people were thinking. No apology needed
Shannon is one of the best

@Steven Prado more than the lakers Steven
@Steven Prado you'll always be a bum always 13th seed
@Steven Prado who cares about you?? Noone 😂😂😂😂😂 13th seed
I respect this apology yes this what real men do. Thank you Shannon Sharpe for doing this I know it not easy. Thank you bro.
Shannon is a real one. That was probably one of the most articulate and sincere apologies I've seen a public figure give (and he really didn't do anything wrong). Dude was raised right
Unc was bout his issue. They was out of line, so he got em back in line.
💯 percent props to Shannon Sharpe. That's what a good man can do when HE knows that HE was wrong about his own actions. Not every man CAN do this but the exceptional ones can. This is also a kick to skip to show him how to say he is wrong and apologies for his actions and words.........ala his tweets
And notice that he didn't say "I apologize", he said "I'm sorry".💯
A
"I'm never going to say it wasn't me, just me out of character", damn, that's such a good line.
For all the tough guys out there,"This is what a man does" Gotta respect him.
@WillSr70 I take my hat off to Skip for not saying anything. Shannon needed to get that off his chest in order to go forward with a clear conscious and hopefully everyone he apologized to accepts it.

Facts. This is how you move as a real man.
Unc has so much class and character I’m so glad he is on this show. He brings me joy with his passion for sport. Much love for Shannon and proud of him for handling the situation.
Probably the best apology I’ve ever seen. It’s time to move on. ❤
Damn the way Shannon was apologizing to everyone I was expecting an apology too!
😂😂 bruhh
but he skipped steve adams!! :))
If Skip apologized we would be here until next week
"And lastly, to Tulani Theo Tau, I just want to say I apologize for showing up in your Twitter feed last night...."
My 92 year old neighbor is devastated
Now that is a genuine and earnest way of going about a heartfelt apology.
Excellent display of Class and Accountability. His Co-host recently proved to be the exact opposite. Shannon needs his own show.
Way to set the example of being a real man and taking responsibility even if you weren't completely wrong💪💪💪💪
Shannon I know you’ll probably never see this comment, but I just want to say thanks for always being yourself. You’ve given all the young adults my age a perfect role model to follow.
Most respect to Shannon for that apology.
Great job Shannon, your a real one out here. You didnt have to apologize but reputation is everything
Spoken like a true gentleman 👏 who can admit when he is wrong and hold himself accountable. A real pro
Greatest apology of all time ❤
Genuine heartfelt apology... way to go Shannon! Hopefully SKIPPY took notes.
He showed Skip how to apologize and take accountability for his actions. No reading off scripts.....straight from the heart.
@Mike Demirdjian I am picking on Skip about this because he is an arrogant dbag. That is the reason.
@Phoenix Blacc Fair enough, but keep in mind some of us have been accused of being racist for no reason for saying far far less. Thanks.
@Mike Demirdjian No, I didn't feel it was owed, but I also don't call people racist without cause especially when nothing they said was racist. Good day.
@Phoenix Blacc You don't owe me an explanation. Both men have their moments!
@Mike Demirdjian Never mentioned race, but okay. I actually liked Skip, but I don't like how he's treated Shannon as of late.
Even when he is wrong you gotta love him. This is a standup man right here.
Class Act. Nobody’s perfect. Your apology was sincere and well said.
As we were 👍
One of the best/quick apologies I’ve ever seen, didn’t try to fight his case just accepted responsibility and apologized.
I love Shannon Sharpe for his loyalty. Loyalty is hard to find in this world.
Unc we got you! Don’t let these young punks disrespect you!!😤
@David Watson So are people expecting them to hash it out on air too?
@The Last Dragon but the issue didn't occur backstage it occurred on air
@David Watson ofcourse
@David Watson How you know that wasn’t squashed backstage? Sure as h3ll Skip didn’t need to apologize to the network nor anyone else.
@Michael Buettner so because his race is Caucasian he is above reporch?
Oh okay bet 👍
"I'm never going to say that that wasn't Shannon Sharpe because that was me; that was just me getting out of character. I'm sorry." This is a masterclass in public apologies. Owned his mistake, apologized sincerely, never deflected or tried to blame anyone else, said "I was wrong" four times.
Apology accepted Shannon! Your integrity is unmatched and that’s why we love you!
Kudos, sir. That was a superb example of how a real man takes responsibility AND sets an example for others.
Could you imagine Trump ever delivering such an apology?
Got so much respect for Shannon..he's the real deal.
This the best PR-related apology I’ve heard in a long time. One that has sincerity, self-awareness and accountability. You can tell that as both a former professional athlete and a media professional, Shannon has had the time to see a lot of people do this wrong and he's smart enough not to be that guy.
@Just talking sociopaths can't understand.
@G.O.A.T James basketball is garbage boring terrible sport GARBAGE
What is y’all’s obsession with apologies
we see why he calls rodgers out so much for being aloof 😂 accountability like this is so rare
And full of bs. You dont act like this man child and then magically realize youve been a pos for 50 years
So many times my emotions get the best of me and later I find myself apologizing when I just wished I would have been a better person in the Heat of the moment. I will always try to do better.
He basically schooled all of us, Skip included, on what a genuine apology sounds like, and having enough character/humility to apologize ... even when it's probably not that necessary.
Bronsexuals help bronsexuals
Love that he didn't try to justify his actions or make excuses!!!
Just apologize, move on and try to be better
Shannon is a class act. Takes a true man to admit his mistakes. 👊
Needs to be more people like this in the world. Commendable
This is a grown man being, a grown man!! Thanks unc for continuing to be the example of what a man should do!
I knew you would man up and apologize, 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 people were out here defending and lemme tell you. I look up to you Shannon!!! But things should never get that bad at a game. Love you even more for continuing to be a great man!!!❤️
Now that’s what I’m talking about, being accountable for your actions.
This is not only an apology - it is a lesson on how apologies should be given: Sincere, direct, personal, captivating and above all, geared toward all the affected parties. @ShannonSharpe this is why you are our UNC!
@DArion Mccleary I don’t think it was tho because he knows he shouldn’t apologize
@jonny that’s his nickname on social media. It’s not that deep & relax 😂
Calling a TV personality Unc 😭😭 so weird
@Why You Buy Reggie?he shouldn’t be sorry I believe his apology was sincere but he shouldn’t have to apologize at all😂
Aka ESPN forced his hand
Love you Sharpie! You’re still as passionate and as humble as you always been. Love you man
That’s a great example of being a solid stand up man and human being with high levels of ethics morality humility and class. There is a clear cut difference between the type of man Shannon sharpe is and the type of man skip bayless is.
Once a fan, always a fan of Mr. Shannon Sharpe! Real men are able to apologize when they do something wrong, and set good examples for younger men growing up.
THAT WAS AWESOME BRO
YOU ADMIT THAT YOU WAS SORRY FOR YOUR ACTION
I FEEL YOU BRO
MUCH LOVE👊✌
Once again confirms that Shannon is the man he appears to be, strong and real to the core yet imperfect like all of us. A real example.
@DAM D ppl were salty about some tweet Skip did
@☁POPULATION-_-420🌿 Who was on Skip? Are you looking for attention?
@☁POPULATION-_-420🌿 u kids weird these days
Ha ha u all were on skip cause of a tweet
Now Shannon making mistakes too
Yea unlike skip
Gain more respect from me after seeing this. Always had respect for him but for him to apologize and admit he was wrong gain more respect from me !!
This is probably the most articulate apology I’ve ever heard. EVER!
What is y’all obsession with apologies . Did he really have to apologize? For what ? What did he do ?
Agree 💯
A real unscripted apology! Respect Shannon.
At the same time, i love it!!! It just shows how competitive and passionate everyone is and I LOVE IT!!! Y’all know they gonna dust it off.
We all make mistakes. Thank you for owning yours and exemplifying how to grow from a poor decision.
Finally, someone gave a real apology for once!
@Common Sense They’ll never do it, ever, throughout history, because NEVER ONCE has a woman EVER apologized right?
This how Edgar Allan Poe would sound if he wasn't emo
Oh man, I am stealing this!
I hope to live the day to see a Woman take accountability to this level.
He said I apologize and sorry more then AI said “practice” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shannon is pure class. Bruh, that's the way a man does things and much love and respect to you and for you!
I have so much respect for this guy he carries himself with such class
When Shannon said "I'll never be too big to say I'm sorry " lol, would of been nice to see 👀 the expression on Skips face. Skip should have done something similar towards Shannon Sharpe for his disrespectful remarks on his career. Oh well, hopefully we all live and learn from each other as we grow.
Shannon is indirectly trying to tell Skip that nobody is too big to apologise when they are wrong. Humility is the biggest virtue
@Troy Black
You literally glossed over specific questions to take a stance you thought was virtuous one, in a situation where the man admitted he was flat out in the wrong.
You got that one.😉
When someone instigates, then escalates a situation, the first question should be "why"?
So, I'll ask you.
If it wasn't about Shannon's recent rise in popularity, wasn't drugs/alcohol, wasn't past issues, what caused him to randomly act out of character and do something he's spoke against?
Real men are strong enough to apologize! Loved the interaction between Shannon and Tee Morant…salute to you both great gentlemen! 👍🏾👍🏾
Love how Shannon came on and took accountability. Meanwhile Skip makes excuses when he’s called out like a coward
That's a real man right there. To admit he was wrong. And do it publicly on national television. Thank you . @ShannonSharpe
This man always finds a way to bring Lebron into things😂
Best apology I've seen from any person of an elevated status. A true reflection of a human - not perfect ~ yet striving for excellence and being better always. Accountability and responsibility. Truly a great person. Well done Shannon Sharpe.
@Kickinthescience Yeah if it was a player, he would get into it most likely but Shannon in the situation is a fan in the crowds and Dillon has very rarely if ever gotten into the face of someone in the crowd. Also getting a fans face is weird af
@Sin Dilacion neither Skip or Shannon should be apologizing
@Ian Sansan Brook had ppl yell at him before. I didn’t see all that energy then
@Sin Dilacion Do you know why it escalated.
Good for Shannon. It takes a man to take responsibility for his own actions, especially in such a public forum.
I will always love and respect Shannon Sharpe.
Honestly, while any man would’ve reacted like that, I respect shannon for apologizing even if there were no winners or losers of the situation.
Takes a big person to admit wrong doing of any kind. Props to Mr. Shannon Sharpe 👏
Great Job 🙏🏾 That's A Real Man Accepting Responsibility!! 💯
An unqualified mea culpa. That's how it's done! Well done, Shannon Sharpe.
Never too big to apologize. Respect. Enough said
Probably one of the best apologies I’ve ever seen and a perfect example of why Shannon is so respected.
I tend to respect men that don't have it in them to make him the center of attention of 30000 people on live tv.
LOL, he blames Brooks in the first 10 seconds for his behavior.
All while doing it in a shirt that looked like all the Grizzles threw him in the mud, and he just woke up. This was a peace offering, nothing less.
Yeah it shows his understanding of how his behavior affects people.
Skip Should Take notes on how to apologize
Thank you Shannon for rising above. Very well accepted.
