The fact that she shorted you $1k for the work you already did, then had the audacity to call and complain about the "massive chip" that someone else made, is just mind boggling to me. You've a lot more patience than me, because I think I would told her no, blacklisted her as a client, and taken her to small claims for the $1k.
Well you seen how she acted when they were first doing the job says a lot. So from This point forward she needs something els fixed I would kindly say you still owe me xyz and I came out last time even tho I was not obligated to do so
Ryan, I love how you have taken Eric under your wing and given him so much potential to grow and learn. I love seeing him following after you wanting to be successful. You really give off such great energy even on tough days. You speak wisdom and much knowledge. You're a role model to many.
“I’m getting into a complaining mode… I gotta knock that off” It happens to everyone Ryan, but I love your mindset in all these videos. It’s okay to complain just not to make a habit out of it. I’ve never done concrete in my life but I still watch your videos because you’re super positive and your guys are too most of the time. Keep up the good work and hope you had a great thanksgiving
Love how Ryan is such a great boss and friend. He's giving Eric some of the most honest and straight forward advice on how to do things. Some people will never encounter someone who can motivate and lift you up without jealousy or envy. Ryan is like the best mentor and is a great source of inspiration (at least in my eyes) to Eric.
Man I can see how much Eric looks up to Ryan, much as many of us do through these videos. Thank you for all the knowledge you share and showing the hard times and how you get over your problems, I try to implement your mindset into my life. Thanks Ryan!
I really appreciate the way you take your guys under your wing and try to help them succeed in life. Not just at your jobs. I love watching Eric and Francisco though E needs to get a camera on a tripod! Holy smokes I get dizzy. 😂
Forgetting that patch was a blessing , Eric’s always there at the right time, you were battling with yourself about your take on the situation but he was there for you to vent to. you were able to get the frustration out and continue with the mentality that you usually have 👍🏾
Ryan, I agree totally with your way of running your business, and having a good, honest and ethical accountant that has the same values and ethics as you have. >>>It says a lot about who you are, and why your business is doing as well as it is. >>>I wish you ongoing success, and it is nice to see you helping and giving Eric good advice, so that his You Tube can grow and become profitable.
Ryan I love the way you give Eric advice and encourage Him as well, we can definitely see your influence in Him. And just so that you'll know it's never boring listening to You talking weather it's about a Good day that you are having or a Bad Day due to rude people and their comments, You are always thinking Positive and even when you are making your point you always seem to find the a way to see the brighter side of any situation. You hit the nail on the head when you explained how it is about how some of the same people who encourage you in the beginning end up rooting against later on in your success. Keep being You and I look forward to seeing your videos as well. Blessings to you and your family and lots of Success in your future as well.
Ryan, definitely important subject/content. It is very nice to see how you support your team. You're definitely a (cheer)leader of your guys and it shows and in life you can never have too many cheerleaders. Also, I agree completely about advise. The thing about advise to remember is that "Advise not asked for is not well received". I have to keep reminding my self of this quote when I see someone make a mistake or struggle with something that I have had to deal with before. Just stumble upon your second channel. Looking forward to more videos. Any chance that you would share with us Erics new channel info?
You guys do great work! Never give in to difficult customers with unreasonable demands. It only empowers them more. The absolute NERVE that someone has to have to withhold payment, then call you back weeks/months later to fix (for free) a mistake by another contractor 🤬🤬
Ryan, you are the man. I’ve been watching your videos for some time now.. you’re awesome to your crew and very knowledgeable!! Happy Holidays from New York
You’re a good guy for doing what you’re doing considering the customer man, don’t let a bad apple get the best of you. Hopefully she grows up and actually pays you the 1000$ if not I’d just send her a invoice every month till she finally pays. Sad people are that scummy. Keep doing you you’re a great businessman and business owner Ryan.
I never let a customer beat me out of one cent after my third project. I was a successful General Contractor in the 1980's, doing just over 1000 remodeling projects of every type. The third project into my career a customer told me I will not give you the last installment because I don't like the color of the grout for a tiny hallway project after it dried to the exact color of the sample. So I dug it out and replaced the hallway tile and told her to forget the last payment. I then went STRAIGHT over to a lawyer, paid $80 for a legal contract that would say that under no circumstances will I go back to do work on a project already accepted as complete....and I never did. I never returned calls on the answering machine, never went to look at the work, and never cared what they thought or who they spoke too. I only did quality work. Over all those projects I received higher and higher pay and more and more repeat customers...because I do the job ONCE, and never go back.
Hi Ryan - I am in Sydney Australia and I look out for your new videos daily. Don’t let it go. You’ve done a honest job and should expect honesty in return. Those rails she is getting installed are effectively being paid for by you.
Ryan, the amount of patience you have for people is insane. I would have looked at that gouge in the concrete and told the lady “ yeah it’ll cost you the $1k you still owe me”
You shouldn’t be fixing that unless your charging her, but obviously she wouldn’t pay you for doing it. Fair play to you, I wouldn’t be doing it for her just because she’s holding money back already
@Romans it would've made no difference because someone like her will give a bad review anyway. He should take her to small claims court and get his $,1000.oo
@Hernasco Legend.most likely she's holding up $ from the railing company guys. That nice man should Just call them first for info on what she told them, because I wouldn't believe her anymore.
@Jeremiah b where are these honest contractors???? The ones here are all ripoff artists. I'm totally serious, only 3 legitimate contractors and they are booked so far out the scammers fill the void.
Much respect and Aloha from Honolulu, HI. Your talk in the truck is so true, I've seen my brother and Dad go through this as small business owners here in Hawaii. Best to just keep our heads down and keep on trucking. Like you said, "Once you got haters, you're doing something right". Stay solid Victory, and God bless
Hey great video. You seem to be a standup guy, not sure I could have gone and fixed that chip. Just a friendly reminder, a guy in a wheelchair may need that striped space to deploy a wheelchair lift or ramp and they are barely wide enough as it is. Obviously not an issue at this place, but in a crowded parking lot it is huge. Thanks for your content. Much continued success to you, Sir!
Hey Ryan thank you for sharing that part were you talked about success and family.. I really needed to hear that because lately i have been bumping heads with my family.. I guess im just growing up and its a new phase in life.. Really appreciate that Ryan i dont have many friends so hearing this from someone like yourself gives me hope that everything will be ok just have to handle business and take care of the family. god bless ryan.
Eric definitely has the personality to sell a lot of jobs. He deserves it if you don't do physical work everyday you really don't know how hard it is. Especially when you have to go to work in the freezing cold in winters and heat in summer. So I respect and root for all my fellow tradesman
Ole Eric would be good in customer sales but would be living it up. Definitely takes alot to do manual labor. It's a tiring job I can't say I miss but each day down is fulfilling in a way. As a boss it's a lot nicer but still work.
@Zakkary Keith it's negative to mention race/age/experience matters when makings >20k sales...? LOL okay bud. id hate to be out in the real world with you.
@Mitchell Brothers he's already had good amount of side jobs and he's already buying equipment. Pretty sure it's going good. Why be on this channel if you're gonna be negative
Ryan, this is steve. Been watching every video from both channels, I love the way that you get a close bond with your workers. Wish I had a boss like that. I was working in a maximum state prison in texas for 20 years. So my wardens were never friendly. Lol keep up the good work. Saludos to all your peeps.
Ryan I started my own business about a year ago now and can 1 million percent relate to everything u have said we have done really well and have been blessed but some people don’t seem to like that. I do construction as well and absolutely love your videos and your faith. Keep up the good work your doing awesome!!!
Gosh it upsets me that the lady won't pay you. I hope she does after you do this repair because that just isn't right. Ryan, your such an awesome guy I'm so proud of Eric. You played a huge role in teaching him the right way, and it's so cool to see him grow ❤ And come ON, Darryl!! Help Ryan! Geez
Dude I can relate to this video so much. From the customer who wanted the patch and held 1000$ for no reason, to the haters. Thanks for sharing. It is a weird phenomenon when the same people who were trying to help you succeed change once you start doing well for yourself. Very strange.
That's crazy to be honest. I commend you for handling that so well. I typically won't work for people with that type of personality. Rock on, you're a much better man than me.
Lots of strength and love to you man. Its tough. But nothing can ever escape the eye of the almighty. Peace and Prosperity to you, Family and crew mate.
Ridiculous that she expected free repair of something not your fault! Amazing that you did that w/o her paying you the $1000 she already owed you! You are a better man than most. Honestly I would have told her what the repair would cost & that she could add that to the $1000 & PAY UP before any repairs!
Ryan I know what you're talking about when I was doing construction and I was getting ahead and then branched out on my own and doing well the haters came out the very guys who like me when I was not doing well, when they did that to me I was confused kind of depressed so I called my sister for support she just smiled and said with her hand on my shoulder, that is your validation! that you're doing well keep it up! thank you Ryan! for putting it in perspective and knowing I wasn't going crazy and wasn't the only one. Oh Happy Day!!!
I sure hope you got that work table. Lol. Just started watching recently. It seems to me Darryl might be a little on the lazy side. But it’s not for me to judge. Great job on the work you do. I do hope you give the Lord the credit for all your success. Those haters need Him in their life.
I’m not even a minute in, and I can see where this is going. Ryan, I love your business and the way you treat your employees. I do not work with concrete or any trade associated within, but I find myself watching your videos daily. I hope you have better luck with customers in the future, very much love from the west coast!!!!
Ryan, you’ve taken a young kid and you’ve taken him under your wing a teaching how to be a man. You’re literally giving him a blueprint on how to be successful not only in business, but also in life. Us OG subs know how you came up as a kid and got into business and the blood sweat and tears that you put into your business. The way you’re mentioning Eric is heart warming!
This is my first video on the channel, but I have to agree that he's clearly been a positive role model especially to Eric. There's a lack of role models for young adults these days
Eric is going to need another year working for you before he gets himself in a better position in knowledge and tools. But he will learn a lot this winter as well, along with Francisco. Running your own company is not easy, but running it part time with a full time job makes it easier to buy the proper tools and not keep yourself so handicapped
Hi 20 year old dude here…just wanna say your videos have taught me a lot, nothing concrete wise but how to actually shape into more of a Man. Keep going brotha
You are. And awesome dude man. I love how you advice and talk to the kid like if he was your age that what we call respect for everyone much love brother
I'm glad you're not letting that lady bother you too much, she's the type of person that is going to pay in a "thousand" different bad ways, and wonder why she has bad luck when it's all because of her own actions. Thanks for 4 days worth of videos it's been awesome! God bless all you guys and your families! VICTORY STYLE!!!
@Marvin Frederick That's the accepted practice pretty much everywhere. The fact Ryan dismisses the loss of $1K of hard earned money is confusing. I get he's a nice guy, but buisness is buisness. If you let people take advantage, soon word will get out;, and other's will do the same.
He let the lady cheat him, so horrible to let it go by. He will remember her theft forever.
One thing you learn in any business you're in - You don't want every customer that comes along. But you are right, you don't want to be in a complaining mode, better to have a positive spirit.
I was in business for a long time and it's amazing what nick pick things customers will do to hold your money back , it's unreal ... I spent 8 hours on a dirt drive install was loaded up the guy says , it wasn't level ,and "had to tell" me how to do it , I told him I'm trying to keep water going down hill , but he didn't care , unreal .. I've got so many stories .., and many folks are so happy you came out and worked for them and ate honest ,, but the rich , control freaks horrible .. every time
Glad you had to mix that whole yard of concrete to fix that huge hole. You always get them few customers that are always never happy no matter how nice your job is! But just going back to make them maybe happy is very professional! Nice work Brian!
Good luck with the Shop buddy, im a Mechanic/welder been on the tools for about 3 years so far loving my job and will be great to see your journey maybe you can teach us a bit about business aspect of running a shop, as im just a Worker at the moment ( planning on changing that once ive got some solid experience not just a few years lol )
I "cracked up" when you asked Daniel "What you should do to Daryl, for NOT showing up today" ..... That BIG pause, then Daniel saying "Give him THE BELT" !!!!! LOLOL 🤔🤣🤣🤣😂😉👍 Kid is SMART !!
My favourite thing with Ryan is his honesty. He stands by his convictions and only wants the best for everyone he comes in contact with. I've been using this channel and the main one to learn leadership skills in my own trade and it has helped me a lot. Thanks!
Wrong convictions though they are. Hey Ryan, I would love to see a video going over what cameras you use how many battery’s and sd cards you rotate through during the day and anything else that helps you make these videos for us!
Wow Ryan you are so right! It is such a weird thing - same folks in the beginning are haters later. But yes hang on for the steady stream of Negativity and you know your going to be fine! All the best Sir hats off for Eric also....
@Bri Ba I agree. At the end of the day she just needs to finish the payment. No excuses to delay that any longer especially when Ryan met her request to fix that tiny spot.
@ST I get it, but I've also had interactions with tradies and their partners where it's unclear who's responsible, but somebody better fix it right now. I think I'm generally more understanding of the situation than her, but I also get her concern that she's gonna be left with that mark and no skill to fix it. At the same time, it was such a small mark, Ryan's right to worry about future calls. I'd probably make it clear that this was a favour but won't be a regular thing, and give me my money, it's past due.
@Bri Ba repairing damage that you didn’t do? It was the guy who installed the railing who did the damage. This had nothing to do with Ryan but he had to take the time and $ to repair it.
Hey Ryan, I’ve been wondering, does your guys file for unemployment during the slow/snow months? Or do they find work on there own until the season starts again ? Let me know.
You are too nice. That lady doesnt deserve the quality of service you have given her. She is someone who needs to feel what its like to actually a hard day of work. Keep up the great job. A CA fan.
That is the best and most honest advice I have ever heard on CHclip and I have witnesses that happen as well. It is not talked about by anyone or very very few anyway.
@Graham Kennedy . I Just would have told her= have that check ready & hand it to me, so I can take it to my bank at lunch time when I get there & I will fix it for free after lunch. Ha.Ha.Ha.
I never felt a purpose in my life and have always planned to take my life after I lose all my family. it sounds wild, but that was my reality. watching you has really given me a new perspective, and new meaning in life. I aspire to be like you, Ryan. a great boss, worker, friend, husband, and of course father. thank you, these videos are a life saver.
Don't ever take your life. I lost my twin brother two years ago. To say we were extremely close is the understatement of the century, we were as close as two humans could ever possibly be. If I can go on and live my life, as hard as it is, without him, you can find some reason to live yours.
Put some energy in to studying who Jesus is. Dont let the "religous" people speak for him. Besides they have nothing to do with you. Please dont ever take your life. Always fight.
You got to love nit-picker, ridiculous customers who hold you hostage on a payment due to the actions of another contractor or something as miniscule as that tiny chip. That's ridiculous & nonsense. Glad to see Victory/Ryan/crew are doing well, as are Eric & Francisco on their side business and CHclip channel. I can tell Eric appreciates it! As for two-faced people who wish ill-will on you that once supported you (or haters that jealous), they're just showing their true colors and lets you know they are not people you want in your life. Been there, done that. Proud of ALL you guys!
Always interesting to see cheques still being used in the US, you’d hardly see a cheque in Australia these days, especially for wages, these days everyone’s wages (pay) gets automatically deposited into their bank account on payday.. no one uses cash here either, you just use your card to pay for everything.. Luv the videos… 🍺👍
You're a great mentor for your young generation in your business Ryan. Not only you are teaching them, but the other business owners that watch your channel on how you can make a successful business if you treat others and your employees right 👍🏼
You are an awesome guy Ryan. I wish more people understood that taking care of your employees, taking care of your customers & being a decent person will get you pretty far in life. There are a lot of people out there that could learn a lot from a guy like you.
This is why I wouldn't make it out on my own even though I have the knowledge and experience in my trade to be successful. I would go to war over that $1k lol and by the time that was over with that lady would know better than to call me to go fix something I installed that someone else broke. Dealing with people like that is the worst
Used to watch you everyday man or well upload but i miss out on 5 -6 vids sometimes more but love cathing up and your always growing keep up the work man. love the effort
Hey Ryan ,as a Mexican I really appreciate what you have taught eric .not only how to work but most importantly how to start a business with concrete and CHclip.our parents only emphasize working hard ,not the building your own business. He will have a bright future . You are a solid man.
As a Mexican , what about the rest for all central an south American. Hard working guys. In new Jersey Mexican are the drinkers workers in contributions. Peace ✌️ nothing personal..,
Ive been watching eric's channel and subbed to him he is a good dude and very humble just like you Ryan, and as to the christmas tree decor its a latin thing im puertorican and already tree is up lol we are raised that way, Happy holidays!!
BIG UPS to you Ryan for been a great boss and a leader. Not all company owners wanna help their employees get ahead in life. Just that alone shows a lot about the person you are .
I spent 6 months roofing while I was starting up, that is some great experience. Can't beat a good roofing crew, nor the knowledge and experience you take from them
Ryan your really are inspiring and the advice that you share from your experiences about businesses and life in general is very inspiring and is extremely uplifting. Thanks for what you do to help people coming up!
The fact that she shorted you $1k for the work you already did, then had the audacity to call and complain about the "massive chip" that someone else made, is just mind boggling to me. You've a lot more patience than me, because I think I would told her no, blacklisted her as a client, and taken her to small claims for the $1k.
i woulda answered the phone " oh hey darlene you have my money"
time = money
Just don’t wear that cap with Easy Money on it. People get ideas.
That is your typical Karen
Well you seen how she acted when they were first doing the job says a lot. So from

Absolutely craziness thank you for taking us along with you. I appreciate your transparency. 😊
Help Ryan! Geez
God bless you ryan for dealing with people that are miserable and will die alone
@Stig Haaland I get what you mean . You're right
@Zakkary Keith You still are alone to die. Can't take anyone with you.
@dillon um no ? You know how many people die with loved ones around. Many
@dillon ya but shes gonna die unloved
@SheepaDoo realistically speaking, everyone dies alone

Have my own concrete business in Texas and I deal with stuff like this all the time but this was ridiculous. Keep it man.

@jackson cardnell eazzy E concrete.
What is Eric’s CHclip?
This is my first video on the channel, but I have to agree that he's clearly been a positive role model especially to Eric.
There's a lack of role models for young adults these days
I’m going to start making videos of my fence work like you doo Ryan , you an inspiration and i love your team , wish you the best and your team 🙌🏽💡
Loving the second channel Ryan, thanks for the hardwork and good uploads!!!

Ryan sharing this knowledge with Eric is awesome. Nothing better than having that mentor in your professional life to help you rise up
@Juwuan Collins oh yeah man . Mikes cool too
He's actually a really good boss . I'd work for him Anyday
You can definitely tell Eric takes everything Ryan says to heart . He needs to stay around Ryan
He’s not just a boss he’s a leader. A REAL MAN
Erik is a lucky man, Ryan’s advice is priceless.
As a contractor , I know exactly how you feel, sending you some love lol
I love your videos man. Keep them up, my wife always makes fun of me for watching “boring concrete videos” 😂
You won something 👆👆🎁🎁
You are. And awesome dude man. I love how you advice and talk to the kid like if he was your age that what we call respect for everyone much love brother
So she expects you to fix someone elses mistake when she still owes you $1000?!

@skeena59 that’s what the company I worked for did A lien
He let the lady cheat him, so horrible to let it go by. He will remember her theft forever.
Ryan, put a lien on her property for non payment!
@Lowlanders Reminds me of eastern european floor installers...no pay? ok...rip it all out guys! (and thier circular saw get clumsy too)
One thing you learn in any business you're in - You don't want every customer that comes along.
I've got so many stories .., and many folks are so happy you came out and worked for them and ate honest ,, but the rich , control freaks horrible .. every time
I love that you are a great mentor to Eric and also the long midwestern goodbye lol.

It's a weird thing how people can hate on you when you're being successful. I'm in Ireland Ryan an I get the same bull! Love the work by the way.
Go Eric, do it! You'll be great, I'll subscribe for sure. 🙂
I was a successful General Contractor in the 1980's, doing just over 1000 remodeling projects of every type. @Boosted Daily That should be a back charge on the railing guys.
Well, he should’ve been honest with that lady and said, I’m going to have to charge you to repair the chip.
That customer will definitely be calling you back for any little thing. Good on you to fix it. Great video!
Hey Ryan, I would love to see a video going over what cameras you use how many battery’s and sd cards you rotate through during the day and anything else that helps you make these videos for us!

Ryan.
That lady was difficult to deal with even when you guys we’re pouring. Sorry to see her trying to take advantage of you.
If I was Ryan I would take everything back. Rip the drive way and the stairs. She doesn’t wanna pay? Well now she’ll have no driveway and stairs 🤷♂️
@Colin Jones her adress is 728 I can’t find the street yet

Customers like her get put on the “no future projects” list. Even when you charge accordingly, sometimes it’s just not worth it
@DoC.Christopher Thompson I here ya
@Graham Kennedy . I Just would have told her= have that check ready & hand it to me, so I can take it to my bank at lunch time when I get there & I will fix it for free after lunch. Ha.Ha.Ha.
I love customers like her, just double your rate on the next one!
1000% These customers were never happy before they called you, and will never be happy. They like the power trips, and are just frauds.
Great content. I agree with you about the haters..keep grinding see you at the top brother..

Life is beautiful bro. Always light at the end of the tunnel!
Hello, I just found your channel. I really enjoyed hearing your views on people, business, integrity, and the additional uses of a belt. 🙃
Erics channel is coming along... Hard sometimes to stay tuned, i find myself fast-forwarding his content sometimes.
You're a great mentor for your young generation in your business Ryan. Not only you are teaching them, but the other business owners that watch your channel on how you can make a successful business if you treat others and your employees right 👍🏼
I’m a tree trimmer and my dad had a roofing business when I was growing up and one thing I’ve always said is you can’t please everybody.
Enjoy your guidance! Thank you!❤
Just stumbled across this video looking for something else and found my self enjoying it. Great attitude you have mate. Keep it up. From England UK.
I can't believe her. She's definitely "entitled". I would of personally told them I'll fix it but not until you give me the $1,000 you still owe me.
How many views do you get? So awesome seeing the traction on this channel and as always the same great content!! Thanks for all you do Ryan!
All i have learned in my first year owning a landscape company, some customers no matter what you do won't be happy, this is definitely one of them.

Hey Ryan ,as a Mexican I really appreciate what you have taught eric .not only how to work but most importantly how to start a business with concrete and CHclip.our parents only emphasize working hard ,not the building your own business. He will have a bright future . You are a solid man.
Tax paying Americans.....period.
@J Ortiz j Ortiz u look like a Mexican 😅😂
As a Mexican , what about the rest for all central an south American. Hard working guys. In new Jersey Mexican are the drinkers workers in contributions. Peace ✌️ nothing personal..,
